For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Beet is murder gets my vote!!!

MrsC it's great to have you back! Shame about the key saga. But I expect you'll look back and laugh... one day...

Franny the cake is wonderful and reminded me of a scene in Friends where Rachel is decorating a cake and Monica says 'Rachel, you want to put the marshmallows in concentric circles' and Rachel replies 'No Mon. You wanna put them in concentric circles' and shoves a marshmallow up Monica's nose! (For any non-Friends watchers Monica is a complete control freak - not that I'm suggesting that about Franny!)

We had glorious sunshine this morning (although I found out that it was very cold when I went running) but snow this evening. Great big flakes! We pressure washed our patio and path this afternoon. at how dirty they were. Totally different colour now!!

I probably won't be on for a few days now. My dad's coming tomorrow to stay. Catch up with you all soon!

I was going to comment on the concentric circles too. I'd just have thrown the blueberries on top so was impressed that time and effort had been put into arranging them neatly!

PSW, or anyone else who has started running - did you download a podcast to help you? If so, which one? I am considering trying to run but need all the help I can get! I need someone to tell me exactly what to do and when.

FrannyandZooey · 07/04/2008 07:54

aw
I want to do my mango one
and I am going to HA HA HA

you know I thought the concentric circles looked a bit poor
a big SPIRAL would have looked much better
ah well next time

it has been suggested by someone (well 2 people) that I am a bit like Phoebe, off Friends, I think
I haven't ever watched it so I don't know if that is good or bad
dp says she was the cutest but I think he has odd taste

morning

thanks for snakes thoughts - I think I am going to say it will be something to look forawrd to when he is a teenager as I really don't think I can do much to help so he will need to do it himself.

ES - the going out thing - I don't want to ignore you but also I don't know what to say apart from make sure he knows how you feel.

I am going to take on board your health advice. I will try to stick to 10/10 and exercise and see what happens.

Have a lovely day.

(no thoughts or preference on titles)

"no mango no cry"

FrannyandZooey · 07/04/2008 07:59

sorry I have just gone and done it in a fit of decisiveness
