triplets you are very welcome on this thread, dont ever feel that you should not be here.if you want to Start a new thread wouldn't be a bad thing as you may get more info and experience on Harrys type of cancer, if you are like me I need to know stuff thou google is very scary I would look on cancerbackup and Macmillan site.
it is a rollercoaster ride, but I promise you won't be alone for any of the ride unless you want to be.

OJ, I am glad that you and the children managed to have a normal day and that Steve was feeling so much better yesterday - I hope this continues today.

Mb I am so sorry to hear that your dh is'nt doing to well at the moment, I hope thing improve soon, and he picks up again.

Triplets, I was very sorry to read about your dh. We discovered my dad has pancreatic cancer in Jan, and your children sound very brave, I am 34 and just sat sobbing in the hospital room, and for about a week after.
I think initially its just such a shock.
I hope things go well for your dh.

to triplets ,i havent spoken to you before but just wanted to say that my aunt had cancer in her bowel 11 yrs ago,And yes she is still with us !!! She had chemo and had to have a colostomy,but she copes magnificently with that and no-one would ever know.So i hope this will give you a much needed boost.oj as usual i am sending you my utmost admiration for the way you continue to battle on in your awful situation and continue to preserve your good humour.I hope steve will soon be home and you will be able to spend some happy time together as a family x

Went to see steve today, he says he feels like his brain has been wiped, his memory is not very good at the moment.
Steves mum came not long after i got there and was very frosty with me, i had to leave as it was very uncomfortable Steve didn't appear to notice the situation.
tomorrow is decision day, we have to get the funding agreed so steve can come home where he belongs & where he wants to be.

OJ- everyone of us everywhere will have everything crossed for you tomorrow.

Sorry about all the stupidity that you have to put up with from your MIL. You should not be the one who is made to leave. Wish I could be there for you & fight your corner. I know what its like when sometimes you just don't have the strength to go there.

money is not really the issue we do have savings, but the consultant says if we self fund then they will never pick up the bill and it will be costly.
i am hoping that the OT will do a review before steve is discharged as she is still saying no to the hospital bed

Have to take Ds2 for a big boys haircut but will be thinking of you.

i don't know what time the comissioners meeting is, but the consultant says that if funding is agreed then the carers will be sorted within days

Thanks for all your good wishes, i am hoping to get some sleep anytime soon, the kids are back at school tomorrow and i need to go into see the consultant when she does her round tomorrow morning.
i will let you know if they agree funding, if i don't let you know by 5pm then it will be cos i am busy sorting out a petition and hiring hit men
