Awful virus!

Is anyone suffering with an awful virus at the moment? It’s absolutely knocked me for six, awful constant chesty cough, sore throat, constant headache , teeth and sinus pain (/agony!) and ulcers on my tongue. It started on Friday and I’ve just gradually got worse- now starting with stomach pain and going off food/ feeling sick (not pregnant)
Obviously done a PCR Covid test and that’s come back negative.
I know there were people saying there was an awful cold going around about a month ago- maybe I’m late to the party but jeez…I feel horrendous!
Does anyone else have the same?

Yes me! It’s horrible. The sore throat is the worst and it hurts to cough. Nose like a dripping tap but ‘bunged up’ at the same time. Sinus discomfort and aching jaw.
Negative lateral flow test, just waiting for PCR test result ( just polite to get this done).
I think it’s a revolting cold.

2 negative PCRs. Can't shift this high temperature. Feel so ill!

Yes. Days of shivery hot cold flushes. Taken a week to being able to get out of house to do school run finally today.

I was going to ask if everyone had tempersture with thus. I've never felt so ill or odd. Can't shake it. Nothing helps:(

Gosh I’m so sorry everyone! I’ve been couch bound since the weekend can’t believe it’s nearly a week later and I feel NO better!…my other half has had to leave work early to pick the kids up from school and nursery every day as i just can’t muster up any energy to even leave the house.
I dread to think what I’d be like if I actually caught Covid! Hope you all feel better soon

Yep! In the past couple of months I've had both. First, a horrendous cold virus, followed by covid a few weeks later. The cold virus was so much worse (I've been double jabbed against covid so who knows what it would have been like if I hadn't). Hope you feel better soon.

I get them anyway with my anxiety but I’ve noticed my heart racing more than usual and almost breathless sometimes (usually after a coughing fit!)

Yep, feel awful. Negative PCR but temperature, sore throat, wheezy cough, achey etc. More than a week now. Night time cough is bloody annoying and due to pelvic floor issues I pee myself several times a day!

That’s exactly how I feel! On day 6 and I can’t see me getting any better any time soon! Coughing all night long and I’m just so tired in the day ! Gave the kids a bath tonight and I felt like I could collapse. It’s awful! Hope you feel better soon

Ah love I feel for you! I have a prolapse and my pelvic floor is absolutely knackered by this cough! Luckily I don’t leak but I can see me going that way if it carries on. I was told to kegal when coughing….not sure if that will help you xx

Yes started 4 weeks ago, got better for 2 weeks and it's back with a vengeance, 1st time was more of a nasty cold, now it's a nasty hacking cough, the worst I've ever had, can't clear my chest, plus it hurts to cough, and my chest feels tight. 4 negative LFTs

I know what you mean I forget as well sometimes. And I feel like this cough is so strong the kegal just gives way anyway. I don’t usually do Kegals as my pelvic floor is hypertonic so everything feels awful down there!! Just to add to the misery !

This one has been around for a while...there were other posts and threads about it....its relentless....i had it for about 2 weeks....its gone but left me so fatigued.....am now retired so only walk to shops but leaves me tired....i am having weekly acupuncture....it really helps boost immune system and it got rid of the sore throat in a few hours.

Been in bed all day, day 3.

Son has had it for over a week and still coughing and nose blowing constantly.

We have no appetites, can't taste anything anyway. My chest is so tight and sore. Unlike my son I have also had another symptom - the trots all day yesterday, stomach ache and all sorts of gurglings and goings on.

I've had no choice but to dose up on loperamide, as I can't be up and down to the loo every five minutes when I feel so groggy, on top of everything else.

Son has managed to avoid the gastric issues, but we both have awful headache and ears feeling like they're underwater.

Gone through a whole box of LFTs and all negative.

Whatever this virus is it's a bad one and it hangs about. Son is only marginally better a week on.

Had covid 6 weeks ago and despite being double jabbed it knocked me for 6. Terrible cough and chest and feelings of absolute exhaustion .

This cold has hit me like a truck. Been 10 days so far and dr has today given me antibiotics as looks like it's turned into a chest infection. I feel worse than I did with covid but due to having had 2 weeks off work just last month I feel awful

I have had months of illness now. Or at least it feels like it. Started beginning of October with the non-Covid cold that wiped me out and kept going and coming back with different symptoms. Had a week off work.
Then I’ve just had an awful sinus/throat infection that took 2 weeks, 3 lots of antibiotics and another week off work to sort. That then gave me a fungal infection which required medication, it was so bad. Now I have a sore throat again. It’s fucking relentless and miserable. Commiserations and get well soon vibes, y’all.

Yep had it going on two weeks now, my son and mother in law have also had it. Absolutely horrible!

I’ve got the hideous cough. The other rotten symptoms have mostly shifted but I’ve not been able to lie down for a week. And my poor pelvic floor… 😩

Blummin heck ladies I really hope we all feel better soon. This is relentless - night 6 and there’s literally no point me even trying to sleep with this constant coughing so I’m going to binge selling sunset 🤣 hope you all have a decent nights sleep

Day 7 now- up coughing all night. Bright green snot blowing my nose constantly but still blocked up! Sinus pain seems to have eased slightly but still have lingering headache but not as bad as couple of days ago. No energy at all - it’s another day on the couch for me! How are you?

I have been off work this week with a horrible viral cough and cold thing.
PCR negative plus I had Covid in May and have had 3 jabs.
I feel worse than I did when I had Covid.
