Not good new regarding Peter

I am sobbing as i type this.

Peter is very ill. there is some damage to his brain, there is a real possibility he wont recover completly this time. The peter I married appears to have gone. Sometimes he comes back, its very distressing.

Hospital team are having a meeting on thursdasy to discuss emergency transplant list. He may be suspended for a few weeks, but as yet we dont know.

I have been told he may not get through transplant as he is very very ill. but for now we need to try and stay positive. Its very hard.

I havent told the children, i cant.

I want a happy ending, but its so far out of reach.

I understand that you are struggling with asking for help- I remember last time only too well- but you have my email via TTR and can email me any time if there's anything I can do to help, even if its just postacrrds or books to the girls or somoething.

has he seen a stroke apecialist? It was my understanding that time van help a lot with brain trauma?

Misdee - I have never posted on your threads before but have admired your bravery from afar. My Dad had a stroke when I was a tiny baby. For a couple of weeks his memory was shot and he was very confused. His brain function did recover though. Its still early days for Peter and he his brain still has a good chance of a full recovery. I am praying he gets a heart soon and that one day the Government change the law so that there is a presumtion in favour of us all donating and people like Peter no longer have to suffer such horrendous waits. Good luck.

Misdee, like some of the others I haven't posted on your threads before, but I have read about what you are going through and just wanted to add my sympathy and admiration. You poor thing, I really hope things gets better for your family.

I am getting a lot of emails about money for Misdee and Peter. I know that Misdee is unsure about accepting money, because of the backlash last time, so I think the best option would be to send any monies to me (via my address or my paypal) and then its up to misdee what happens after that. If she doesn't want to use the money herself, she can donate it to Harefield.

Is this ok with everyone? I don't want to upset anyone.
