Hi Folks - this thread continues from a v long previous thread... a few of us are desperately trying to kick the evil weed and will do it this time! A new thread, a new start! Let's help and support each other, splurge out those frustrations here.

Personally I feel like if I don't do it this time I am gonna take charliecat' suggestion and knock myself out with a hammer.

Come on girls - we know it' crap, and we feel so awful sneaking back in and our kids being near us and having honkng breath (us, that is...)

LOL, and only TIME will heal us, quite acurate really. Well girls this morning I woke up at 5.30 and it wasnt until 6.23 that I remember I didnt smoke...how amazing is that?????
Except its not going to stop me going weak at the knees knowing dps got a bit of herbal in his wallet...Im having to work on that one. The only way is to get him to smoke it and not buy anymore.
Before we get all cosy in this new thread we should really go back and read the old one. The pain we have suffered to get to this point, even with all our blips and bumps.
No sign of Mummy in those photos because im the one whos interested enough to be taking photos. To get a photo of me and the girls I have to nag for half an hour. Its very irritating

The kids we're really getting to me this weekend. They both had the devil in them. It wasn't till a friend reminded me last night tyhat I hadn't had a fag for 8 days that I realised I didn't smoke and that my short temper was probably down to that. I'd forgotten all aboutr smoking and just thought ds and dd had the devil in them. Now I feel really guilty that they were probably just being normal and it was me being a cow!!!!!!!

Yes with me its either nicotine withdrawal or PMT...how have you been finding it, easy or hard?
I cant get the whole process out of my head...always on my mind it is!

I must admit I've found it extreamly easy. I hadn't even intended giving up. Dh is still puffing away and it still doesn't bother me. I was sick Sat of bank holiday weekend, had a fag at lunch time which was disgusting so didn't have anymore that day. Was violently sick sat night, felt terrible all day Sunday so didn't have a fag. Felt better on Monday but thought I've gone a day and a ½ without I'll keep it up. Which touch wood I have done. How are you doing???

Goodness me thats fantastic, I am madly chewing chewing gum as usual...I am ok, I just seem to dwell on the fact I have given up though!
I would dearly love to forget about it, and just move on with my life but...I cant!

Id make the kids breakie, pop outside while they were eating it, have a cup of coffee...have another one when id finished.
Roll one for journey to school, have one when I got to my mums, another maybe...then one when Id dropped the little one off at nursery....3 hours to myself...lots of fags...then one on way to nursery...oh im sure you get the idea...how on earth did you hide the foul smell from your parents??????

Lot's of fabreeze and prefume. Oh and chewing gum. Mum was always complaing I wore too much perfume!!!!

Just think about the hassle of hiding your smoking WP, it's crap isn't it? i was like you up to 10 a day, my parents smoke but dh's don't and it was murder sneaking around - what a farce!! did you read the end of our old thread? it was on nicotine madness - i was rushing around like a depraved loony!

hello woodpops & welcome & well done! Am so impressed by the lack of fuss and drama you have around giving up - or seem to have - me, am totally craving, with moods swinging madly - and it's only day one, officially! (after a month of mainly not smoking but several 'blips'). Am in much better frame of mind now and have big race in edinburgh on sunday, really wanna be faster than 64 mins which means NO MORE CIGGIES, BY ORDER. am feeling good & positive today. Not really bothered about a fag at all. (dangerous thought!)

Yeah I agree mm, am in awe of cc quitting cos I don't think it really sank in how much she chuffed! did you ever chuff on the toilet or in the baff? I did, both felt sort of naughty & foul at the same time.

had a lovely day with dd & friend and her kids, wandering round peebles, lovely sleepy town with river, ducks etc... then up to eyes with tea, baffs, lunchboxes etc, hence getting on here so late today...

gonna do a bit of work, have baff, slather on oils, sip chamomile tea... try to be a new improved, calmer being, no booze till friday... (so dh says!) by rights I should wake up looking like claudia bloody schiffer!

I always seem to be instigating playstation bans when I stop smoking. Same with PMT as you say cc -had terrible bout of it last week, that slapping the bloody shower cubicle with a wet towel turned out to be pmt related. have been taking eve primrose oil capsules but obv they have had zero effect...
