i was 12, but my best friend was 18!
i don't think you should worry too much, but if you are worried, why not have a chat to a doctor about it? i remember my friend was worried at the time, but was told it was normal, and that some people are just later developers.

ShowOfHands · 13/06/2007 13:56

I was 13, good friend was nearly 17, she has 4 very healthy children, no known reason for slightly late start.

fakeblonde · 13/06/2007 13:56

I was 12, one best friend was 10 (), other best friend was 16! No rhyme or reason as far as I can tell. Don't worry!

I think it is hard on them as it gets later though. Keep telling her what a pain (literally) it is, and though it is a sign of womanhood, it's one noone enjoys!

DANCESwithnewlytannedlegs · 13/06/2007 14:03

I was 15.

meandmyflyingmachine · 13/06/2007 14:03

Well, I was 9.11 . Which goes to show that there is a pretty big range.

14 and a half, had about 3 in a year, then 18 months of anorexia-induced amenorrhea. (And a 'bust' in any meaningful sense has not developed to this day). I think there is only need to worry (or investigate) from 18ish. Did you start 'late'?

Nymphadora · 13/06/2007 14:12

I was 8

Lolly68 · 13/06/2007 14:27

Nearly 15 - I was a very late starter whereas all my friends started when they were 12.
