I think i was about 12.
Yes she`s got everything else-hips oily skin, has to wash hair daily and put deodorant on ect.
She was epileptic for a while but has grown out of it now-could that delay it maybe?

ANd I'm sure Tamum said once something about the fewer periods you have over your life, the lower your risk for cervical/ovarian/breast cancer (can't remember which).

As I say, JT was 16 and I'm sure they stopped in her late 30s (I don't think she'll mind me saying as she's posted it before!!). She also had 3 kids, very easily.

So not something to worry about!

Gobbledigook · 15/06/2007 10:11

I had all the other signs for ages and then had my first period at 14. After a massive attack of PMT!

Aufish · 15/06/2007 16:00

I was 11 when I started, my eldest dd started hers about 6 months ago just after her 10th birthday.

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 16/06/2007 08:14

I'm sure I heard that when you start getting discharge then the period follows a few months later??

FrannyandZooey · 16/06/2007 08:21

I don't think there is a 'right' order for things like this

I had pubic hair very young and no bust at all for ages

periods started age 13, I think my mum said hers started age 16

lou33 · 30/06/2007 20:51

ooh i have an update to this, dd1 who was 15 in april started her periods yesterday

she is v pleased

Beauregard · 30/06/2007 20:52

I was 11

twelveyeargap · 30/06/2007 20:58

I was 10. It was crap. Girl that worked for my mum was 19 and in the end went to her GP to get the pill to kick-start it. She has a gang of kids now though. I certainly wouldn't worry. If your DD is worried, then perhaps a visit to GP will reassure her, but it's not particularly unusual.

Imawurzel · 30/06/2007 20:59

just before going into 9th year so i was coming up 13 i think.

whomovedmychocolate · 30/06/2007 21:02

I was nine. I had boobs too

It's actually BETTER not to get your periods earlier in lots of ways: normal can be anything up to 19 according to my GP (my friend's daughter finally got hers at 20 - but she was almost anorexic and that had kept them from starting with her.)

You say she vomits now and then - she's not making herself sick is she?
