Reassurance please.How old were you when you started periods ?

DD1 is 15,has a bust now and weighs a healthy 8 stone and a bit.
No sign what so ever of periods.
Should i be worried ?
I think i am as i think i was about 13.

I was 17 and 2 months! We are a family of late developers so it wasn't a huge concern. I am very fertile - I conceievd my two children on the first month of trying for each of them, so I don't think you should be too concerned.

oh yes, it doesn't have anything to do with fertility, as long as they do start eventually - it's never taken me longer than 3 cycles to conceive (5 conceptions, 3 mcs seemingly down to bad luck).

I started mine on my ninth birthday (which was nice ) - but both of my sisters were 17 before theirs started.

I wouldn't worry too much about it - it's pretty normal to start anywhere up until the age of 18 or so.

and then they were very irregular for a couple of years, once stopped for about 3 months which was a worry.....

I was almost 13, i thought i was dying as i didnt know anything about it. My friend was 17 but she was a gymnast so exercised alot. It is said but i dont know if it is true that if you start late you finish late.
