I have a massive fear of bleeding between my periods.

I check every half hour to an hour daily.
Since having my DD 20 Months ago I tend to spot at certain times in between periods.

Iv had GPs look at me, 12 months ago scans in my ovaries (all clear) 12 mi the ago a smear (all clear) and a gynecologists loom at me and say I look fine, its just a hormone imbalance.

I tend to spot in the middle of my cycle and then I have ovalatiom discharge and then I don't spot until I have my period.

This month tho, its 7 days before my period is due (I have 35day cycles) and I have the smallest ever streaks of pale pink blood in my discharge. Iv inky seen it because iv shine a bloody torch on it. It's happened twice in the last two days.

I'm so worried. Every time I ot to my GP she says 'Your smear is clear, The gyno said it was a hormonal imbalance....what do you want me to do?!...she gave me the pill about 5 months ago but I havbt taken it as I'm scared it will develop into cancer. I saw her again last week and ahe just said 'try taking the pill'.

I can't live with this fear anymore. I'm 27 and its literally taking over my thoughts. I check and I check and I check every day...some times I even have to were sudocream because of the repetitive wiping to check.

Why have I got light pink streaks when I wipe? 7 days before period is due ? I just want to go to sleep to stop the worry

Have you made an appoinment to get a referral to deal with your anxiety?

PinkPearls20 · 10/08/2016 16:12

Oh shit. Even obsessively checking thread every minute or so to see if anyone replys. But I'm scared to death someone is going o say it sounds serious and I need to go back to GP. Everytime I check this thread km shaking.

Just I only saw half of what you wrote on my 'Im on' before I clicked on it and I thought you was going to say have made a appointment for a referral with the gynecologists again Sad I feel so sick as it was waiting to load

No one is going to give you that advice OP - you have told us that you have had countless checks and all are clear. We have accepted that fact, but the difference is you haven't, and that is what you are struggling with, and why you need to get help. Please see a MH professional asap.

GinIsIn · 10/08/2016 16:25

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR ANXIETY. Stop prevaricating - you are torturing yourself for no reason.

PinkPearls20 · 10/08/2016 16:27

Even tho my smear and gyno appointment was 12 months ago?

The GP did look two weeks ago tho and said my cervix looked ok

OP posts:
Barefootcontessa84 · 10/08/2016 16:27

As Fenella said. If it helps, yes THIS IS SERIOUS.

GinIsIn · 10/08/2016 16:29

You only need a smear every three years. It's not your cervix, it's your head. Make an appointment. Call them now so you can't put it off again - this isn't fair on your little one.

GinIsIn · 10/08/2016 16:29

That's an appointment for anxiety, NOT for the gynaecologist.

PinkPearls20 · 10/08/2016 16:33

Yeah I know. Nobody who knows me would know what's going on in my mind...

The blood cant be coming from any where else? Bladder, ovaries, womb ....

Sorry Blush I'm so embarrassed by this. If you saw me in RL I'm just a young girl who acts happy and jokey...but go's to the toilet A LOT

If I get counciling I'm worried that the person won't know how to help me or reply to what I'm saying to them and they wont know what to say and it will be really awkward. Then they will feel like they can't do their job all because I'm a really hard nut to crack because iv had health anxiety for so long there is Noway our becasue now it's a habbit for me

The counsellor will know how to deal with you, they'll have dealt with harder nuts to crack than you before.

Barefootcontessa84 · 10/08/2016 16:43

It would also help to show them this thread

GinIsIn · 10/08/2016 16:54

If the blood were anything to worry about the GP or gynae would have told you. It's not. It's just your hormones and you should take the pill like they told you and it will sort it out. More important to sort your anxiety, and maybe the therapist won't help. Maybe. But doing nothing DEFINITELY won't help, and you need to try.

PinkPearls20 · 10/08/2016 16:59

Yes ok...I lost the card for 'Mind' that the GP gave me.. the Drs arnt answering so I will keep trying.

Thanks

PinkPearls20 · 10/08/2016 17:16

Do you know that stress and anxiety can cause cycles to go awry? It's quite possible that your anxiety is actually making your cycles long or irregular. No proof, but it's worth thinking about- or rather NOT thinking about!

PinkPearls20 · 10/08/2016 19:58

I have often wondered if it's my anxiety that's contributing to it. I know that once I had blood a day or two before ovalation and my DD had blood in his nappy so I worried myself out of ovalation. Im certain that happened. I ovalated two weeks later. I had a 52 day cycle that month.

If anybody in the future reads this thread... don't take a bit of notice of me.
