Wow what a gorgeous day. After a horrid morning trying to keep pain relief topped up for all dd's molars coming through, we ate lunch on the patio in the sun and went for a lovely walk to the park. We played on swings, watched the ducks and then walked down a lovely avenue of trees then back home.

I wore SANDALS and NO COAT! I am usually a chilly person too. Dammit think dd has just had her 4th poo of the day. I only changed one 5 minutes ago!

Isn't it amazing what some sun can do for you. Not sure if it's because I just finished breastfeeding or the sun, but I am BLOOMING now instead of blooming knackered. 3 weeks to 3rd trimmester.

DeputyMacDawg · 27/03/2007 19:54

Outdid myself today ladies.
Took dd on my bike to the stables which are 4 miles away and it's all uphill to get there .
She had a great time blethering away behind me, then giggled all the time she was patting the ponies and the soppy resident dogger.
On the way home she fell asleep, so I walked the last mile to save her bashing her head on my back at every bump.

Am soooooooooooooooooooooo knackered now, though . Hot bath and early night for me! (with the obligatory vino....for medicinal purposes only )

VoodooSpringChicken · 27/03/2007 20:10

yes, lovely weather...I even did [gasp emoticon] some gardening!

worleythewisp · 27/03/2007 23:25

hello, i have been trying to think of an easter name, not thought of anything catchy yet...
i have got ds2's ear infection and sore throat now. it hurts to swallow, and yawing is sooo painfull. dp brought me some ice cream (mmmmmm ben and jerry's caramel che chew )to eat to numb my throat a bit. far better than all those chemical sprays!!!thats my reasoning anyway.
have had a really horrible couple of days at work. a little 6 year old girl was hit by a lorry but died yesterday. it was sods law i was on mobile xray duties so had to go to resus. i cried when i got home and then today a man got hit by a lorry also, hes still alive but i guess one more is going to happen. so glad im off tomorrow and thursday.

ice cream tastes heavenly

EasterChickenBunny · 28/03/2007 18:12

MacDog trying out new Easter name.

Don't ask !!!

Am having crappy day . Am knackered after dd up in night screaming with her teeth. dh conks out straight away, I'm up for hours after.
She has been screaming all day as well, and now has a streaming cold.
My excema is red raw and seeping. Hands, arms, face and legs all affected . Going to see GP tomorrow, to see what she can prescribe.

On plus side it's swimming lesson with dd tomorrow as well. We both love it .

I'll try and be happier in my next message

Jennster · 30/03/2007 21:25

Had my week 24 appointment today and baby kicked the doppler.
Everything fine but my notes are all over the place. All the wrong tests were ordered at booking, and half of the results are missing. Need an anti-D injection, and queried why I hadn't had an appt yet twice already, but my midwife sorted it today for me. Was really nice to see her again.

Hope everybody well and enjoying the sunshine and daylight. Am wondering if my horrid moods have been to lack of day light! Felt fantastic today.

EasterChickenBunny · 31/03/2007 10:29

Glad things are working out for you now, Jenn.
Funny how the sunshine lifts your mood.
We've got a glorious morning here, so can't wait to get out in it.
How are you Worley?
Hope you have better time this week than last.

Catch you all later

Jennster · 31/03/2007 20:52

Had cruisers and crawlers round this morning and went for a lovely walk. Went for a facial this afternoon (with left over birthday vouchers) got some bedroom gymnastics in and did some weeding in the garden. Just had steak, salad and potato wedges for dinner mmmmmmm.

Jennster · 31/03/2007 21:25

Nearly put my twopennorthworth on a thread about Dr's receptionists. Decided its not worth it. Am just going to get a torrent of abuse about waiting times in pharmacies too.

worleythewisp · 01/04/2007 22:24

had to take ds2 to see the emergency drs yesterday. when he woke his eye was all red and swollen and i thought he had conjunctivits, so off i went to the chemist but she wouldnt give me anything as hes only 9 months and they cant give me anything till he's 2. is that right jenn?
so as i tried bathing it in cooled boiled water and it hadnt got better all day i rang the oncall dr who told me come straight doen and he gave me some drops. which have worked like magic today and last night. although after sleeping 7 hours!!!!(yay 7 whole hours!!!!) last night he couldnt open his eye this morning.

so im not sure if nursery will take him tomorrow or not if he has conjunctivitis. i will have to turn up and see.

p.s trying to out eye drops in a mission and a half, it takes two of us to pin him down. and he doesnt even crawl yet, but has super strong rms and legs to push us away with.

hunkermunker · 01/04/2007 22:26

Hello.

What is a bitten nipps thread, please?

VoodooSpringChicken · 02/04/2007 09:48

hi HM

we all had bitten nipples via BF at the same kind of time, so we banded together and that is our story!!!!!

Survived Parents thank god...
but they are coming back to stay tomorrow night too...

Then we are going up to Scotland for easter weekend to see their house, at last.

I hope it stays sunny.
off to put a tenner in dh's trust fund thing, Bye!

VoodooSpringChicken · 02/04/2007 09:48

mean dd's trust fund thing

EasterChickenBunny · 02/04/2007 12:36

snort at dh having trust fund Voods .
Sorry to hear your lo has eye infection, Worley. Hope Nursery not a problem

Off out to enjoy sunshine today. Hoping it might improve my skin, but doubt it .

dd getting her MMR tomorrow, so I'm hoping it'll go ok. I'll keep you posted.

Jennster · 02/04/2007 12:42

Hi Worley that's right. You can't buy the antibiotic drops for under 2 years I'm afraid, even if they are the same as a Dr would prescribe. If they are that young, it's always best to get it checked out by a Dr anyway. Also worth it because prescriptions are free, and if they are frequent they can give better drops.

We find the kneeclampeyeflood manouvre quite effective. One parent sits behind lying baby with head clamped between their knees and other parent dives in for the eye socket flooding from the front. They have to open their eye at some point and if you have their head clamped facing forward, then it doesn't immediately drip down their face.

VoodooSpringChicken · 02/04/2007 13:03

lol at SNORT Mdog
and 'kneeclamping' Jenn.

just got work shoes off evans site at last!
Theyve got some nice boots in the sale.

hunkermunker · 02/04/2007 13:42

Ah, I see. How are they now?

Jennster · 02/04/2007 18:14

I finished breastfeeding 2 weeks ago and so mine are absolutely fine, but then I'm 24 weeks pregnant. It was starting to hurt just as dd clamped on, but then she had 10 teeth. She is 14 months though. Think we are all sorted pretty much now regards to painful nipples though thanks.

JennySpringster · 02/04/2007 18:18
