Hello (hopefully) to Voodoo, Worley and Jennster!!

OP posts:
Jennster · 11/01/2007 22:29

I nearly always have a nap in the afternoon when dd does, so get very little done round the house.

VoodooBiltong · 11/01/2007 23:05

the house must become a very low priority witha lo and being pg! Is your dh understanding?

I am filled with energy now at this time of night, find it very hard to go to bed now.

Macdog · 12/01/2007 12:54

dd is 11 months. She usually sleeps all night with a short nap around lunchtime about 1 hour.
Last night she was awake 1am 2am and again at 7am. Fecking teeth
She has been at toddler group this am and just going out to the bf group followed by a visit to my CPN

I'll try to talk later

whaasss a CPN?

VoodooBiltong · 12/01/2007 13:59

just got back from the marvelous Trafford Centre.
mmmmmmmmmm window shopping. I only spent £11 in WHS on two canvasses to do two paintings for my sisters' birthdays in Feb.

Cheap gift idea!

Macdog · 12/01/2007 16:58

CPN is Community Psychiatric Nurse who is helping me with the PND.
She has dd same age as mine, so can relate to what's going on.
Having crap, tired, teary day. And so is my daughter .
Never mind, the weekend is nearly here.

I've thought about doing some big bright canvas pictures for dd's room. Au Naturale do the pre-printed ones that you colour in (just my level of artistic ability).
Am very of people who can create arty stuff

hello one and all,
voodoo, are you going to paint on them or get dd to paint something? well, splash paint on to them. i could have gone to the pub when i got back from work ???pub??? i meant to say gym!!! that was after reading about macdogs dd!! or wishfull thinking maybe.
been at work again, only 2 more weeks left of half days... there are 5 others who are pregnant, ,1 left last fri,2 left today (1due jan, 1 due feb,) 1 is 6 months and the other is due in july. so if things go in 3's there should be another person about to drop the news. [not me ever again face!!]
off to take ds1 to swimming club now, well after tea anyway, and will be back in time to watch eastenders. SO who has done poor old pauline in really? has jonathon ross (how the hell do i spell his name) finished now? it might have to be the friday night project instead as dp will want to play poker tonight so we will argue over the pc probably....

Macdog · 12/01/2007 17:27

Hi Worley
Am I the only person who doesn't watch 'Enders??? or Emmerdale?? Or the Street???
Think we'll be digging out a DVD

Hello there. We don't watch the soaps, but I don't finish work 'til 6 on Friday so don't get home 'til half past. Just finished my dinner right now. Roast organic chicken with roast potatoes (gorgeous ones) carrots spinach and peas yum yum.

My belly is sticking out loads.

worleygig · 12/01/2007 22:07

well i have fads on watching eastenders, sometimes i do and then dont bother for weeks. i dont watch any other soaps though. i have discovered scrubs while on mat leave, my dp kept telling me it was funny and i should watch it but i didnt until recently and now i lurve it!!

so dp not playing poker as his frineds at work!! its some internet thing? so i get the pc !!!yay!!

but am going to bed now, getting up at 6.30 three times this week has left me completely knackered!!

VoodooBiltong · 12/01/2007 22:36

we dont watch the soaps either.
We had a fry up for tea, sausages, bacon, beans, eggs, hash browns and fried bread.

I am painting them, and not very well! My little sis's boyf gave mw a lovely case of watercolours so I said Id do them a canvas for their new house.

Its the other sis's b'day in Feb too, so it makes sense to do them both one if I get all the stuff out, etc.

I love the idea of dd doing one, for her nursery...

The canvasses are a fiver each in whs, and all their paint is in the sale at the moment too, MD you dont have to be artistic, just paint lots of squares, or I did zebra stripes on a big one for our lounge. Its really fun.

VoodooBiltong · 12/01/2007 22:37

worley...me and dh thought we were the only ones who love scrubs. And JD is a fitty.

Macdog · 12/01/2007 22:44

'Evenin all
dd just gone to sleep and we just finished a chinese takeaway. Am just sipping a lovely glass of wine.
Reading the new Dick Francis novel: Under Orders. Love his books (even though it was his wife wot wrote them really) and have them all.
Taking me ages to read it though, dd not a great fan of her mum sitting quietly.
Off to bed early in case she wakes up again through night.
Have a good weekend folks

Jennster · 12/01/2007 22:44

We like scrubs too. Dh can't believe he likes it coz it's a 'hospital drama' as he calls the likes of Casualty, Holby City, ER, Young Doctors, Shortland Street

Jennster · 12/01/2007 22:48

Mmmm wine......[slinks off to find a glass of milk humph]

Macdog · 12/01/2007 22:50

Jennster · 12/01/2007 23:19

No never heard of that one! Night folks. Of to read and do physio. (well doing both at once are the orders)

worleygig · 13/01/2007 10:21

let the blood run free???? are you sure??
was it like an old 80's rerun over here.
i remember my mum used to watch the sons and daughters, and was it the fyling doctors and they had a pet wombat called fattie?

my parents started looking in to emigrating and i was so excited as i thought i was going to get a pet wombat. but alas they never did so im still here. Although dp does keep mentioning about moving to denver with his brother, but as much as i liked it there the guns are a bit scary to me. they all seem to carry them in their cars, under their beds...

Macdog · 13/01/2007 16:30

Ok, just me then.
Was very old comedy show. Episode guide for 1st series here . Was very deranged!!
this is Matron Dorothy Conniving-Bitch}. Think she was on my maternity ward
I have never had a life

Weather getting worse here. Nearly got blown away up on the hill with dd, dh and Dogger.
That's us in for the night now. Hopefully we'll get a good sleep again

OP posts:
Jennster · 13/01/2007 17:22

Weather dreadful here too. We spent 45 mins waiting for a car seat fitter in Halfords this morning, and dd didn't get her morning nap. By the time we got home and I was giving her lunch, she was falling asleep. She was sitting in her high chair with her eyes closed stuffing spaghetti and courgette into her mouth. It was soooo funny. We then both went for a nap for a few hours. Dd slept from 13.30 til 16.15!

Jennster · 13/01/2007 17:26

Sounds like an interesting series Macdog. I remember Sons and Daughters. Evil Matron sounds a bit like Sister Scott (who recently turned up in Home and Away again as Alfs Sister) from Young Doctors. Sad thing is I remember all the theme tunes.

VoodooBiltong · 13/01/2007 17:45

fed dd a 7mth + jar of food! Rebel!
but she is only 9days off 7 mths so what the hell. she loved it and the lumps slowed her down= less wind. Result!

She is going into her own room tonight!!

feel glad yet sad........

yuck. she is sat here on my lap making horrid smells...

VoodooBiltong · 13/01/2007 22:46

she is still sleeping peacefully.....

fingers crossed..

anyone else see that weird Kevin Spacey film on tonight??
