Hello (hopefully) to Voodoo, Worley and Jennster!!

OP posts:
EasterChickenBunny · 02/04/2007 20:02

Loving the new name, Jenn.
Hi Hunker, if you pop back.

Hello too to Voods and Worley (so you don't feel left out and go in a huff)

For the sore nipps, I'm down to just morning/night feeds, but suffering more from eczema related discomfort now .

dd screamed all afternoon and I ended up crying in unison with her. dh came home and all of a sudden she's all perky again.
Typical!!

MMR tomorrow, so expect to be bf more than normal.
Catch you all later

JennySpringster · 02/04/2007 21:14

Good luck with MMR. We've no more vaccinations until DD 4 (I think) now. How is the walking going? Dd just NOT interested.

DD pooed in the bath the tonight which wouldn't have been so bad had I not been in the bath with her and not noticed. [yuk face]

EasterChickenBunny · 03/04/2007 09:47

eeeeeeeew!!!
Why do they always wait until someone in bath with them!

dd's walking going great. she prefers to bomb around with her V-Tech walker thingy, but getting better at toddling on her own.

Can't remember if I've told this story, but the other day she was climbing up the outside of her cot ! Hands on top rail, feet on bottom of rails. Man, is it any wonder I'm going rapidly grey!!!!

Have a good day, everyone

VoodooSpringChicken · 03/04/2007 10:33

wow these little walkers/cot climbers sound great.

dd has started teething, she seems to be getting about three at once on the bottom at the side. had to resort to bonjela last night...MD, she too was a little sod all day, until daddy came home then became an angel.

she can wave bye bye on request now, that is cute.

I finally cleaned out the high chair last night and disinfected it liberally. It was gross.

My sister was told the wrong dates by her dumbass midwife, she is only just 9weeks pg now. the scan showed a tiny little peanut, how cute.

Also....just found out my BEST FRIEND is pregnant too...12weeks gone. she's due Oct 21, now my sister is due Nov 10.
Also one of my work friends is due start of Sept...pregnant women are now in every aspect of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so jealous... I think I do quite want to be pg again. Must be spring madness.

VoodooSpringChicken · 03/04/2007 10:34

although it's good to know I started this little craze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JennySpringster · 03/04/2007 11:14

Wow your sister must have found out she was pregnant almost as soon as it happened!

Have just got rid of a sandwich toaster, juicer, chopping board and shredder on freecycle and posted a wanted for some moses basket 'dressing' wadded/padded/lining stuff. Got one in a charity shop thinking I could buy all that stuff and was told in no uncertain terms in mothercare that I couldn't. They didn't have to be so abrupt. It's a massive Mothercare World and I can't spend my money in there. They don't have ANYTHING I want. Half the stuff in there isn't priced (trading standards would have a field day) and the rest is overpriced tat. Would love to picket them and tell expectant mums

"YOU DON'T NEED A NAPPY WRAPPER, BABYBATH STAND, OR BABYWIPE WARMER!"

JennySpringster · 03/04/2007 11:17

Off to make soup and muffins for lunch

EasterChickenBunny · 03/04/2007 12:08

I thought the baby wipe warmer was a wind up, Jenn.
Have just done Google search and am now in !!!
My dd so deprived because I'm using cold wipes.
I can hear Social Services at the door now........

Voods, the whole walking/climbing thing really cute until the reality hits .

JennySpringster · 03/04/2007 12:26

In fact you do not need a baby bath! We have always bathed with dd and have been fortunate enough to only have the one poo incident.

JennySpringster · 03/04/2007 12:27

Although to be fair to mothercare I've never actually seen a wipe warmer in a branch.

JennySpringster · 03/04/2007 12:30

What would you do if someone took you out of bed in the middle of the night and tried to clean you with a cold wipe? Cry!

Well actually no because I don't piss myself anymore, and can manage to wipe myself thank you very much.

My midwife told me to warm the water up I was using to clean dd's new born bottom, and then I pointed out that if I was using wipes, they wouldn't be warm anyway and she had to agree!

worleythewisp · 03/04/2007 12:53

i just gave ds2 a quaver!! he loves it but then i read the ingredients and they have milk in them, so give i a few mins and he will be all spotty on his face.
we finally got an appt to see a paed at the hospitla in a few weeks time so we can find out what it is he is exactly allergic to.

hes got an organix crunchy carrot stick thing now, it looks like an overgrown wotsit.

im on a night duty tonight, so dp has the boys from 4.30 this afternoon till 7.30 tomorrow morning. i still have to get all the tea cooked and bottles for his night done before i go.

im still bf morning and night ( and throughout the night!!) and when its my day off and ds2 wants a bf during the day also then instead of his bottle which he would have had at nursery.
AND no more sore nipps. touch wood.

worleythewisp · 03/04/2007 12:59

ds2 can also finally roll completly over and once on his tummy he can push himself backwards but not forwards as yet.
still no teeth, he has been chewing like mad for a few weeks on his teether and anything else he can get his hands on, so i thought they were going to be through asap but no sign as yet....

my sister in law had just posted me some new crocs from america. i ordered them and sent them to her, then she posts them to me, as it works out a lot cheaper that way than buying them here, what with the exchange rate and all that. so im all excited

i think ds2 is tired now, so im headed off to try to get him to have a nap now, not any easy thing to try and do though as he doesnt like to miss out on anything at all.

JennySpringster · 03/04/2007 21:29

Hope nights aren't too bad for you Worley.

Was promised 'puter all night tonight because football on itv, but by the time I'd had a bath and a long phonecall from mil, I've only just got on.

Some cheeky sod has emailed saying they would take the shredder I had offered on freecycle off my hands, and could I deliver? Some people just don't get it! Wouldn't mind but already posted a taken notice. No please or thankyou aint going to get you anywhere, especially if your email address is 'sugariminlove' twunt.

VoodooSpringChicken · 04/04/2007 13:12

lol at freecycle. i registered but have never checked if they will have me in my local group...

had some fab good luck today, Orange rang and have offered me an amazing deal to stay with them for another contract, so good Id be stupid to say no! They deliver me a brand new handset tomorrow! I love new phones!!

with £4 special offer and if you pick up a catalogue instore and scan it at the till you get a £5 voucher off anything in the catalogue = a swing for £15

VoodooSpringChicken · 04/04/2007 13:15

yep I hink my sister was psychic about when she got knocked up.

I still havent had a period yet?
Ive started taking my folic acid again just in case, but it is highly unlikely. Ill stop when I get my period...
what if it never comes back?
Is that possible?

VoodooSpringChicken · 04/04/2007 13:15
Hmm
VoodooSpringChicken · 04/04/2007 13:16

btw, we never used wipes on dd, cold or warm as they gave her terrible rashes. I always use warm water for a change, in a little plastic bowl.!

VoodooSpringChicken · 04/04/2007 13:18

lol Jenn you are confusing my verruca buddies!!!

VoodooSpringChicken · 04/04/2007 15:36

my new phone!

EasterChickenBunny · 04/04/2007 19:11

I got my first proper period last week, Voods.dd is 14 months. I had been wondering if they would ever start, now got all the hormone swings going again .

Got dd her first proper shoes today similar to these, but in burgundy nubuck/patent. Reduced from £44 to £13.50!!!!!!

She's been fine after her MMR, so far so good

VoodooSpringChicken · 04/04/2007 19:16

oooh. 14months is a fab break from the joys of the bleeds.

nice shoes! looked in clarkes for dd but they are so expensive. Ill get her measured there though, when she can walk, anyway

EasterChickenBunny · 04/04/2007 19:18

dd currently doing giant steps in her new shoes.
Can't quite get the hang of them yet

JennySpringster · 04/04/2007 20:26

dd has these shoes

JennySpringster · 04/04/2007 20:33

My last period was in Cuba in April 2005! Have an appointment with the breast care clinic in May. Only going to get it on my medical records that I need mammograms from age 37 not 50. My sister has been through the process already, and was told to have children as young as possible (tick), and to breastfeed for as long as possible (tick).
