Hello (hopefully) to Voodoo, Worley and Jennster!!

OP posts:
Jennster · 18/02/2007 17:17

Yep get on really well with them. We've only known them since we moved into the house 3 1/2 years, but they are our best friends. We always eat with them on a Sunday night. It was them that made us realise we could be ok parents.

VoodooChickenhead · 18/02/2007 17:56

nice neighbours!

on one side the house is for sale, the family were quite young like us with two small kids, then her grandad died in Paris and she bought a big new house for cash with her inheritance!!!

the other side are a grouchy old couple who are ok really but every so often they moan about our tree, saying it will rip up their drive or something...we just ignore them as the tree would have to rip our drive up first before it could even reach theirs...

Jennster · 18/02/2007 18:19

We live in a terrace of 3 and are on a corner. We've got a front bit, a corner plot of shrubs, with a drive on the side and then a garden round the back. We've a shed and greenhouse and some raised beds for veggies and a sunken patio right a the back.

VoodooChickenhead · 18/02/2007 21:33

bugger I keep buying crap on ebay.

worleythewisp · 18/02/2007 21:34

ds2 was 2 yrs and 7 months when i started potty training him and he just did it straight away, he has never had an accident, i have been sooo lucky with him, my mum is constantly teeling me how good he has been and i dont know how luckly i am !!! which makes me think that ds2 is going to be the devil child!
my only problem i have ever had with ds1 is with food, he wont eat anything decent or even try new things. i dont know why? i rememebr him gagging on vegetable when he was a baby, he managed to eat bread, cereals etc etc, just not fruit or veg. at tea tonight (i ended up doing toad in the hole with veg as it was quicker) he had 2 broccoli tree bits and 4 slices of carrot, he ate the carrot (smoothered in tomato sauce (ergh face) and again gagged on the broccoli, i dont know why???? hes 8 now he should be able to eat these things.

then there is his little bro who ate all his dinner, then ate a slice of melonand some grapes, and then played up until we gave him some peas and carrots off our plate while we were eating!! where he puts it all i dont know?

worleythewisp · 18/02/2007 21:37

thats why i gave up with ebay, i end up spending more money than i should. my friend makes quite a bit on their, she goes to our local auction rooms, buys boxes of things there and then sells it on ebay!!! i dont know how she does it, she always fiinds some little bargin ornaments that turn out to be worth loads when she puts them on ebay.

worleythewisp · 18/02/2007 21:41

just ordered ds1 some of those walkers red ears for comic relief. he will take his money in to school when they have their fun friday day.

Jennster · 18/02/2007 21:45

Mum says I was potty trained by the time my sister arrived. I was 20 months. Having said that I took a big leap back when she was born. Don't think she will be ready by the time no2 arrives and then have no doubts I'm going to be upto to my neck in nappies.

Jennster · 18/02/2007 21:47

DD just ate a massive plate of roast dinner, a few strawberries, grapes and blueberries. She also had her first taste of icecream. The look on her face was classic.

DeputyMacDawg · 19/02/2007 15:28

Voods, I found that cropping my pics with camera software was enough to allow them to load to gallery.

Bloody scafolders are dismantling next-door's scaffolding by dropping each bit from a height !
Been walking miles again today cos there's no way dd can sleep in the house

VoodooChickenhead · 19/02/2007 16:49

dd has gone really clingy today so cant be here long. X

Jennster · 19/02/2007 19:00

Evening folks. Had a fab soup for lunch with my friend and her son and then we went for a walk round the park on the canal. Have just realised that dd hasn't had an afternooon nap for 3 days.... which means I haven't had an afternoon nap either. Also made a really nice rhubarb cake which I have eaten most of.

worleythewisp · 19/02/2007 20:52

any one here had mastitis?
i was talking with ds2's nursery nurse while i fed him at lunch time(she bfed her ds for 9 months)and she was saying how she got mastitis and she was shivering really violently then going hot and then shivering again, which i was doing last week and felt really ill, i only started to feel 100% yesterday, although i still have some chocs left that dp brought me for valentines so i dont actually have my appetite fully back.... not a bad thing though!!
my boobs are still sre and another of my collegaues who had mastitis about 20 years ago said she was given male hormones to stop the pain??? ever heard of that one?

Jennster · 19/02/2007 20:54

Owww She has just bitten me twice! Why has she started again?

worleythewisp · 19/02/2007 20:55

i thought i'd just picked up a virus from work...

im doing well tonight i have every thing done ready for tomorrows early start again. even done the packed lunches and the uniforms ironed [patting my self on the back!!]

Jennster · 19/02/2007 20:56

Touch wood. Never had the M word. Think dd cut down on her feeds so gradually my body got used to it.

Jennster · 19/02/2007 21:00

'Fraid the advice now for mastitis is it will go away and is very rarely a bacterial infection, so antibiotics are no good. Ibuprofen and paracetamol are best.

Got the same advice at tit club too.

worleythewisp · 19/02/2007 21:18

tit club!! i feel like im forever taling about bf at work, and they are all either bottle feeders and disgusted at bf or fed for months too.
another house i want has gone up for sale want that one
it over looks the livery yard paddocks. we live 2 blocks down from this one.

worleythewisp · 19/02/2007 21:32

the identical house to ours has just sold in the next block down, dont know why it says graves end though?? but ours is nicer on the inside!!! and more tidyer, and we have a bigger front garden and back garden

and about the stalker thing, i only have you 3 as my mates so youre the only ones that can see my pictures.

Jennster · 19/02/2007 21:53

Tit club was breast feeding network.

Like the second house better than the first.

Jennster · 19/02/2007 22:16

This house looks a bit like ours and has it's 3rd bedroom in the attic too.

So does it mean you can hide your profile from everybody but who you say can see it?

VoodooChickenhead · 20/02/2007 18:40

bonjourno....

I nearly got mastitis from my abcess, but antibiotics stopped it coming...

the house next door to ours is going up for sale I want my sister to buy it!!!

worley I had such a badvirus in November but the docs couldnt do anything just rest and keep warm and eat well.

I like the sound of tit club!!!

Jennster · 20/02/2007 19:17

Hola amigos

Got loads done today. Made a lovely lunch of courgettes, chilli and garlic and froze 2 portions for TheBubs. I use it as a pasta sauce and serve it with loads of cheese. Marinated the chicken we are going to have tomorrow night, made a gorgeous beef stew and have just done the dumplings. DD loved it so will have it again tomorrow night. Made a big pea and ham soup for my lunches at work and dd will have some of that for dinner on Thursday with some nice bread.

AND I managed a sleep.

worleythewisp · 20/02/2007 20:43

salut
(sorry only other hello word i know)

today i got home late as was really busy at work and by the time i got home dp was asleep on the sofa while ds1 watched tv and no tea was ready at all so i had to cook ds1 and 2's tea while dp woke up. and now as ds1 is in bed and ds2 had just nooded off while bf i am having cheese on toast for my tea as dp has decided he had to go to work to find his cv and certificates folder thingy.

im well fed up with work, it seems to have got really bitchy scince i have been away, we were arguing over whose turn it was to go do some forsenzic work today and i really cant be bothered with standing there and arguing with grown people! and when people sit around on the butts and let others do all the work!!
im thinking of maybe doing mammography instead, boobs all day long!!

can you tell i've had a bad day at work???

worleythewisp · 20/02/2007 20:47

that house is noci jenn, i love old victorian houses, our first house was an old terrace with a big bay window, but was on a really busy main road and not nice schools so we moved.

the only ones that see my profile and pics are you 3, i am hid up from everyone else, you can pick if who you want to allow as your mumsnet mates.
