Hello (hopefully) to Voodoo, Worley and Jennster!!

OP posts:
DeputyMacDawg · 14/02/2007 23:32

Hello Everybody!
Worley, why not try a lip balm on yer nipps. They're basically flavoured vaseline anyway ?
If you put it on after you've expressed, it won't go in the milk.
Re the house, We'd live there quite cheerfully cos it's got a lovely bath (and we don't). Also looks like lots of room in the garden for the real Macdog to bounce around in.
Sorry if you were looking for more depth, I've been on the Champers !!
I live in a council house, so anywhere would be lovely

VoodooWizbit · 15/02/2007 16:02

MN sucks at the moment I have to sign in my nickname and password every time I come to the site!
I never used to have to??

I like the house a lot. I always have a good nosey at house porn...
I cleaned most of the kitchen today top to bottom,

DD is making hilarious sounds sticking her tongue in and out really fast! she can also bunny hop on her back now and roll over so I cant leave her anywhere..
We got invited to her 8month check on March 6th, but to a health place 7 miles away dammit! My surgery a 3 min walk away obviously is far too easy! Grrr.
I use vaseline every night on my lips as it is a lot cheaper than lipbalm and a tin lasts ages, I dont even bother putting the lid on and it is Fab! you can even slick it on your face as a highlighter/gloss.

VoodooWizbit · 15/02/2007 16:04

dh and I had a whole bottle of rose cava...we wolfed it watching the Brits (I love Russell Brand) and then I got a headache so went to bed early!

DeputyMacDawg · 15/02/2007 16:10

We had curry takeaway washed down with Champagne.
We are soooo classy !

VoodooWizbit · 15/02/2007 16:19

erm....we had home made spaghetti. I forgot the dolmio. but discovered I could make it from scratch for far far less money. Result!

worleythewisp · 15/02/2007 17:08

we had pasta with bacon, peppers onions mushrooms and cheese sauce!!.

our house is an old council house too. its a bit bizarre, they built 2 teraces in the village and that was it,there all these lovely old houses and then our 2 llittle blocks!. but we have massive gardens and really good schools so we are happy. i dont want to move out of the village, but we couldnt afford a bigger house here, we will have to carry on with our plan of a loft conversion.
dp works for mencap, which isnt the best paid job but its very flexible for parents working hours which is helpfull for us, it means he can always pick ds1 up from school and we dont have to have a childminder or anything.

worleythewisp · 15/02/2007 17:14

i just had to sign in to mn also.

i feel really sick today, last night i was shivering so muchi ached and then i went all hot and had to throw the coversoff, i thought i was going to have to call dp home from work to look after ds2. im aching all over now so think i may have a cold or something on the way, so i have dosed up on the old paracetamol.

ds1 has fancy dress at cubs tonight and has been dressed as a storm trooper fom starwars scince 8am today!! he is so excited.

i want to go see charlottes web at the pictures

VoodooWizbit · 15/02/2007 19:54

I want to see Hot Fuzz! The trailer looks ace.
I havent been to the cinema for over 2yrs.
I couldnt go while preggers as I needed to pee evry hour, and I hate getting up in front of everyone and missing part of a film I have paid £6 to see!
Also dvds on ebay can be had for £2, so it's not economically viable to go to the cinema anymore. Also it saves me pigging out on sweet popcorn too, or a bag of minstrels.

VoodooChickenhead · 15/02/2007 21:45

new name a-hoy
back to my voodoo roots

Actually I have never done voodoo but I am a bit spooky with the tarot cards...

Jennster · 15/02/2007 22:23

I've ALWAYS had to sign into MN. How did you manage not to?

We had bolognaise for dinner tonight. Dh cooked it and it was GORGEOUS. Have dreadful indigestion now though. Have already bottle necked half a litre of Gaviscon, (but not just tonight) and just ordered another.

So the house Worley. Does that mean the house is 1600s? I'm rubbish at history. That's pretty old and 4 bedrooms.....Ahhh would be jealous of you!

VoodooChickenhead · 16/02/2007 16:29

now Ive logged in again at the registration bit, I never have to sign in when I come on, for another 30 days, anyway.

Me and dh eventually want to move back to the midlands, preferably before dd is enrolled in any nursery school/primary school.
I would want 4 beds but we probably couldnt afford what I want.
ie. a farmhouse, period features, a stable block, large walled garden, not on a main road...the usual...

DeputyMacDawg · 17/02/2007 19:18

WHERE IS EVERYBODY????

dd went on the swings in the park for the first time today. She loved it and laughed lots .

Whole batch of new pics on my profile if your interested

worleythewisp · 17/02/2007 22:22

have been shopping today in norwich, only went to next, boots and big W (woolworths)had a look in mamas and papas but didnt buy anything, their clothes arew ay to expensive, although i did get ds2's pramsuit in the sale in there before he was born, then came home, droppped dp at work and ds1 at my parents (they have taken him to see scooby doo and the mystery machine at the theatre) and tidyed up once ds2 was fast asleep, managed to hang up all the clothes and found the floor again .

now going to watch Ideal before i wrap it up and give it to my brother!!!

Jennster · 17/02/2007 22:26

Cool pictures Macdog.

Been in Manchester today and just spent a fortune on an outfit for a wedding at the end of April. Can actually wear it non-pregnant too.....just as well considering the price!!! Went to Wagamamas for lunch curtesy of bil as a birthday present.

worleythewisp · 17/02/2007 22:30

so, voodoo and jennster are you going to do a profile??? and put some pictures up??

dp thinks i should stop bf now as its got really sore, my nipples are so cracked. although im not sure if they are what they call cracked? it looks like someone has literally tried to slice them off (sorry gory i know)i've not expressed for 4 days as that was making it worse but they seem to be taking their time to heal up.

i really dont want to completly stop bf even if i finish expressing completley i want to feed am and pm still and he can have his soya formula at nursery.

i'll be sad if i have to stop bf but the pain is so bad when he latches i cant get to the drs till weds though.so will have to keep on with the vaseline for now, and grit my teeth

Jennster · 17/02/2007 22:53

Hmm, not sure how to do a profile. Aren't you scared of freaky stalker people? Besides, people you might know can find out who you are in real life

Oh dear Worley. Am thinking of giving up feeding too. Still doing morning and night. Was trying to make it 'til dd had had mmr, but that keeps being delayed so am just putting it off. It's starting to hurt again when I feed in the morning. Next feed to drop I think

DeputyMacDawg · 18/02/2007 00:01

Was worried a bit about stalker people, I have dd's pics only on Mates.
I tend to stay out of controversy, or else I use another secret identity

I've dropped all feeds except morning and night now.
dd guzzles 'joos' like there's no tomorrow.

Off to beddy ba's now cos I'm going to Glasgow tomorrow. dh working, dd and I going to shops

VoodooChickenhead · 18/02/2007 14:32

JENN !!!
I cant believe you were in my neck o'the woods! (Manchester)
next time I will meet you in the Traff centre!

anyhoo...I am the only one with pain free nipps, then eh! makes a bleedin' change.

how are you going to stop the am feed? just an earlier breakfast? dd just has little snacky feeds now except the one at bedtime which is a 20-30mins suck-a-thon.

in our house :
0730 5m bf in bed
0830 baby breakfast (weetabix and hot milk)
1030 5m bf on sofa
1230 baby lunch
130 (sometimes) mini bf
300 20m bf on sofa
500 baby dinner
700 goodnight 20m bf

I am happy with that. Things may change again when I return to work middle of May.

VoodooChickenhead · 18/02/2007 14:39

Ive set up my profile again, but none of the pics work as my camera is too powerful!

Ive changed some of my answers to those questions!

VoodooChickenhead · 18/02/2007 14:44

(Mouth at the wishing well)

you joined MN just after me and Macdog! spooky too!!!!!!!!!!

I like scissor sisters too.

Jennster · 18/02/2007 16:58

I thought of you voodoo, but didn't want to sound like a stalker.

Been for another walk today and saw the ducks and went on the swings in the park after church. Currently am cooking a roast beef dinner for us and the neighbours. Am going to ask them to babysit on my birthday so we can go out. Will have an excuse to wear my outrageously expensive outfit too.

DeputyMacDawg · 18/02/2007 17:04

Glasgow was fabulous.
Sun shining brightly and dd slept in her pram while I walked for miles.
dh and I just back from another cycle. Was starting to get too cold and dark.

dh back to work tomorrow, I'm gonna be all lonesome .

back to MN'ing again full time, though

worleythewisp · 18/02/2007 17:10

you must get on really well with your neighbours jenn. on oneside to us they are from new zealand and they like us to be quiet!!! they are retirement age but he has lung cancer and we hear him all night, which isnt pleasant, but how do stop ds2 crying when he isnt well?? and the other side has just turned 50 and likes all her friends to come round at weekends when they all get rip roaring drunk, and singing very loudly, although that is the only time we know she is in.

we are having chicken pie, veg and mash for tea befor dp goes off to work, then i have the tv to myself to watch 24 and then lost.

has any one tried nipple shield?? do they stop the pain when ds2 latches on??

Jennster · 18/02/2007 17:11

Thought I would just give her warm milk in a cup first thing rather than give her food earlier.

Also thinking about putting potty in bathroom. DD only 13 months, but am increasingly finding that her nappy is dry when I'm going to change it. I've bought the no cry potty solution book. I'm really just thinking about getting her used to it before we start in earnest in 6-9 months. Any advice Worley? I know it's different with boys but when did you start doing the pre training bit?
