Hello (hopefully) to Voodoo, Worley and Jennster!!

OP posts:
Jennster · 12/02/2007 15:30

Happy Birthday MacPuppy.

Just tried to do my CPD online again and flaming website is down! GRRRR

Jennster · 12/02/2007 15:46

And as I can't do my CPD been watching tv. Just watched Escape the Country or something. A couple have just exclaimed that the difference 200K in a budget makes......Durrr 200k is probably a pretty good budget to start of with! Never mind increase a 300k to 500k. In the end they decided to increase their budget to 600K................................................

Question of the day.

What would you do with

i) £1000
ii) £10 000
iii) £100 000?

Jennster · 12/02/2007 17:13

Ohh bollards, I've been cut off.

Will start this again.

1K- Nice holiday
10k- Think about having longer than 9 months maternity leave and a nice holiday.
100k- Doesn't go very far does it? Consider moving house (would have to be pretty fab to get me to move from this one) and a really ace holiday and pay for everybody who is coming with us.

DeputyMacDawg · 12/02/2007 18:16

1K - decorate and buy new furniture
10K - decorate/new furniture, rocking horse for dd and a lovely holiday
100K - New house (cos it goes further up here ) and a real pony for dd

VoodooWizbit · 12/02/2007 23:18

1k save it for our holidays, may splash out on a shorter haircut and buy dh a pres,

10k go to Bahamas (always wanted to) and change both cars

100 000 move house to Midlands, back to our friends and never work again. Ever.

ahhh! I love dreaming about money.
My PIL are ok, but when ever we stay there dd always becomes ill/wont sleep/disloctaes something... there is a pattern emerging. They dont sound as bad as yours, worley!!!

Damn the pox! I remember when I got it, aged approx 8 my worst spots were on my left wrist, even tho they seemed bad, I didnt get any scars.

Still heard nothing re: nhs complaint. Feckers will regret messing with me! I can devote 24hrs a day to this complaint...besides changing a few nappies etc...

question of the day...
In a perfect bub-free evening, what would be the most romantic way you could spend valentines?
and what actually ARE you goingto do??

me - dream...be whisked in a helicopter for dinner in Paris, and then a night in a boudoir-ish hotel, 5*, pink champagne etc

reality- Im cooking dh fave meal...spaghetti
I bought condoms today at Tesco, I always try to get bog standard to go easy on my stillpainful bits...I accidentally picked up ones with tiny bobbles on to increase sensation !!!FFS!!! even more pain for me then.......

Jennster · 13/02/2007 09:28

Have felt baby stirring as you do, but felt the whole blimming thing this morning. Put my hand where I felt a movement and felt a mass. Must have been the whole thing coz don't believe the head could be so big at 17 weeks. Felt like it was doing a somersault. The sort of movement you get much later on in pregnancy!

Ooo. Have an uncle who has lived in the Bahamas for about 15 years. He's a croupier on Paradise Island. Never been out to see him though.

Bub free evening? Meal out def. Preferably bub free all day too, so can go to spa and relax and have a baby friendly massage. Get somebody else to sort out my wayward eyebrows, bikini line and wax legs. Wish I could have a drink though. A nice glass of red wine MMMMMmmmmmmm. Maybe fairy godmother might whisper in dh's ear. It's my birthday in 3 weeks.

DeputyMacDawg · 13/02/2007 09:37

TOO MUCH INFO VOODS^ !!!!!!!!

I miss bub moving around, Jennster. I'm slightly (but not enough to go through it all again )

In ideal world we'd go to a Highland cottage, all log fires and glorious countryside

In reality we've got a bottle of Champers and a box of chocs for when dd goes to bed

DeputyMacDawg · 13/02/2007 14:06

Well, after several hours and more bad language than any dd should have to hear, the bike seat is finally installed on my bike.
I'm sure we'll look just like this ????
(deep down MD knows she looks more like this )

Anyhoo, here's hoping for a safe trial run.
dh coming with us as a safe pair of hands

I'll let you all know how we get on

Jennster · 13/02/2007 14:49

LOTS OF LUBE Voodoo LOTS OF LUBE!

VoodooWizbit · 13/02/2007 16:40

maybe a name change...voodosorebits
voodoolube ????????????????????????

DeputyMacDawg · 13/02/2007 17:25

YEEHAH !!!!!

That was BRILLIANT!!

Got a real energy rush from that. Blew the cobwebs away.
dd was so cute and adorable in her (slightly too big) bright pink helmet.
She has also discovered the joys of punching me in the back as I cycle along!
Easier than I thought to keep my balance as well

worleythewisp · 13/02/2007 20:30

i cant wait to get on my bike again, ds1 has nly just got the hang of actually riding his bike with no stabilisers!! he has no problem balancing on a pony and trotting , but his bike is another matter!!

£1k pay off some of my over draft!!
£10k pay off my credit cards, over draft and a holiday somehwere really nice
£100,000k, pay off all debts, mortgage(only £38,000!!), student loan, maybe get married abroad, loft conversion, new kitchen extension, dp and i could both work part time then.....

back to reality,
dp is working valentines eve, he just gave me a box of greens&blacks choccies though!! and ds1 gave me a card he had just made. ds2 did some painting at nursery last week !!!!!!! well, he had paint on his hands and he splatted all over the paper, which they turned in to hearts!!! arhh, hes so cut at nursery, i still go feed him in my lunch hour, i have 2 cracked nipples now, its not nice bf at the moment and expressing is just plain nasty.

have 2 days off now though
going laser shooting tomorrow at our gym with dp, ds1 and one of his friends.
shoud be fun - NOT - i so wish i could have a little girl as well sometimes

Jennster · 13/02/2007 20:50

I love laser quest. I went years ago with some mates at uni for my birthday. My tactic was to hide in a corner and pick people off like a sniper. There were a couple of regular kids who were in there. They thought they were ace, and when we all came out and saw the leader board they were like who the hell is Jenn? I was top!

We are doing nothing special tomorrow night, although we are going to try and have a roast organic chicken dinner. Dh's turn to look after the poxy one....

Had a lovely day today. Went to the Drs this morning and got my antibiotics. Came home gave dd a nap while I made a carrot and coriander soup. (gorgeous by the way). MIL and nephew arrived and we had lunch. dd loved the soup. We had a fruit salad for pudding. We then went out for a walk to the Dr's surgery again to drop off a urine sample and then went for a lovely walk along the canal to the park and back again.

MIL and nephew went home and we went up for a nap. Napped for hours.....

DeputyMacDawg · 13/02/2007 22:53

I love laser quest!!! Sadly our local one shut a few years ago

For my birthday a few years ago I went paintballing with some friends. In January. In the rain !!!

Went down the finger food road for dd's dinner tonight. Chicken, pasta, sweetcorn, mange tout and baby corn.
Some of it even went in her mouth

Sorry to hear about the nipps, Worley. Hope they get better soon.
Hope you and yours get well soon as well Jenn.

And Voods, I'm not even going to mention yer unmentionables, but I'm sure you'll keep us posted

worleythewisp · 14/02/2007 09:48

have a read of this i found it quite amusing, so that explains why dp thinks both ds1 and i are snobs, so no doubt ds2 will be following the same suit....

p.s im not a snob i just dont like mil!!

DeputyMacDawg · 14/02/2007 11:15

And here was me thinking I bf cos I'm too lazy to bother with bottles

VoodooWizbit · 14/02/2007 11:51

oh I only bf because I am posh.

VoodooWizbit · 14/02/2007 11:51

theres nothing like being posh with your baps slinging out all over the show and your nipps big enough and ugly enough to hang top hats from.

Jennster · 14/02/2007 21:17

MMMMmmmmmm yummy yummy lovely dinner in my tummy. Perfect roast potatoes.

Antibiotics are working already!

Oh and we had our new mattress delivered on Monday, but only got round to getting it put on the bed today. However Daddy was looking after dd today for 10 hours and lo and behold, she has learnt how to trampoline in her cot!

worleythewisp · 14/02/2007 21:29

well we had ds2 weighed today and he was 14lb 10oz, nearly a pound in a month, he got his book bag today also, which hea already had a chew of the corners of.

we got to the laser quest and my friends little boy refused to go in and burst in to tears as it was too dark. so ds1 and dp had the place to them selves and ran round shooting each other, im not sure who enjoyed it the most though!!!

i also got given some soy formula which i've had to begrudgingly give to ds2, which he drank!! so i had a liitle cry but at least my nipps will have a rest from expressing for a while so they can heal up, my hv thinks i may be reacting to the lansinoh stuff i have been using and suggessted vaseoline (is that right spelling??) instead. i have to go shopping for some of that now as i dont have none in. unless i use flavoured lip balm!!!!

Jennster · 14/02/2007 21:37

Vasoline. Same thing as White petroleum jelly which is usually much cheaper (not that it's expensive).

Jennster · 14/02/2007 21:39

1lb! wow. Dread to think what dd weighs. Not had her weighed since she was 8 months old. She is such a short arse I can't believe dh and I sprogged her. No2 however is making me huge! Are babies like goldfish. They grow in size until they reach the optimum they can in the volume they are living in.

worleythewisp · 14/02/2007 21:40

the huse opposite us has gone up for sale and have been bugging dp for years that i wanted to buy it, but now it has its way way way to expensive.... and seeing the pictures im not sure i like the inside really....what do you think apparently oliver cromwell stationed his troops there its that old...

Jennster · 14/02/2007 21:49

What sort of comments do you want? Why we ourselve would or wouldn't live there? You wouldn't get upset if you didn't like what we thought would you? That sounds awful....

Jennster · 14/02/2007 22:02

You might be pleasantly surprised at the value of your house. Your's might have increased in price too. Problem is, if you're not too keen on the interior, which is COMPLETELY changable, then you might have to spend money on it.
