Peter is back in hospital, not great news.

Sorry this is gross.

Peter tubes are a mess. i had to check them today with his mum. there was a lot of gungey clotting blood running down the top tube from his heart. The opening was very bloody and open (well more open than an open wound into the body is iykwim). i had to call the transplant co-ordinator, and they have got him a bed back on the transplant unit so they can find out what is going on.

it could be an infection, but it could be the throxine(sp?) interacting with his warfarin. so i am back to waiting again.

feeling quite low, dispite all the stress and agro of having him back, my home being invaded by nurses, carers Ot etc, i was enjoying him being home and being a family.

So sorry to hear this and hope you are all back together soon.

dont look if easily shocked peters is just one pump, but as you can see the tubes are a fair sized. we knew before he took the dressings off that he was bleeding out a lot of the top one, as the dressing was bloody. but the amount of gunge was shocking.

Fingers crossed that he his home soon!
