Peter is back in hospital, not great news.

Sorry this is gross.

Peter tubes are a mess. i had to check them today with his mum. there was a lot of gungey clotting blood running down the top tube from his heart. The opening was very bloody and open (well more open than an open wound into the body is iykwim). i had to call the transplant co-ordinator, and they have got him a bed back on the transplant unit so they can find out what is going on.

it could be an infection, but it could be the throxine(sp?) interacting with his warfarin. so i am back to waiting again.

another update.

his INR level is fine, so seems that its not an interaction at all.

he was pouring blood overnight, and they removed more clotty gunge this morning.

so no idea whats happening really.

i updated my phone last night with his new number, but somehow it didnt store, so i called his old room. i got hold of another VAD patient, who went to get peters room number for me

Hope they find out what it is soon. Are you going to see him today or would they rather you didn't until they found out what it is?

i'm going in tomorrow. i was meant to be waiting for someone to collect something but they want to wait till weds afternoon now grrr.

his mum is collecting clean stuff for him as his pj's are soaked in blood, and his phone charger.

he is fine, i am going in tomorrow morning to see him. i was getting used to not rushing about as well.

they think he may have burst some capillaries or something. no idead how, or is its possible. i think we have stumped them.
