Peter is back in hospital, not great news.

Sorry this is gross.

Peter tubes are a mess. i had to check them today with his mum. there was a lot of gungey clotting blood running down the top tube from his heart. The opening was very bloody and open (well more open than an open wound into the body is iykwim). i had to call the transplant co-ordinator, and they have got him a bed back on the transplant unit so they can find out what is going on.

it could be an infection, but it could be the throxine(sp?) interacting with his warfarin. so i am back to waiting again.

Salem, his surgeon, is going to do some deep packing of the wound tomorrow if he is still bleeding out loads. peter isnt looking forward to that at all.

he has stopped bleeding, he has 3 lots of dressings yesterday, swabs, bloods etc.

so far no infection is showing, they have done some cultures to see if any grows, have upped his thyroxine, and no deep packing needed so far.

we are hoping he will be home by the weekend.

i went to talk to him this morning, walked into his room and went 'Pet.... oh' as i forgot he wasnt home.

dd3 is in a strop with him still.
