Sorry this is gross.

Peter tubes are a mess. i had to check them today with his mum. there was a lot of gungey clotting blood running down the top tube from his heart. The opening was very bloody and open (well more open than an open wound into the body is iykwim). i had to call the transplant co-ordinator, and they have got him a bed back on the transplant unit so they can find out what is going on.

it could be an infection, but it could be the throxine(sp?) interacting with his warfarin. so i am back to waiting again.

I am really sorry to hear this misdee.

As a newbie I had no idea what the matter was with Peter until I did a search on your name (gosh, hope you don't think I am some kind of weirdo )

You and Peter have had sooo much to cope with...

I hope this setback can be dealth with and he is back home soon.

Ulysees · 24/09/2006 20:23

this is so sad. I hope and pray something good will happen for you both soon. I believe strongly in healing prayer, it doesn't matter if the recipient does or doesn't? I just hope he gets some good help and it's sorted soon xxxxx

Sparkler1 · 24/09/2006 20:25

Oh Misdee not again. Thinking of you all. On the more positive side of things take this as a time for you to try and rest a bit - I remember you saying it was quite hard work when Peter first came home. xx

misdee · 24/09/2006 20:25

Sorry the home stay has been so rudely interrupted. Sad to think of your dd3 being so upset at daddy having to leave, so hope it is only a brief spell to clear up any infection or clean the site etc. and that he is back with you soon.

Xena · 24/09/2006 20:32

I think the problem is when the thyroxine dose is not correct, wishing for you that it will sort itself quickly xx

misdee · 24/09/2006 20:36

i know hub, and dd3 was so hard to settle when he did come home at first. now she is all over the place again. i hate seeing what this is doing to my children.
