Peter is back in hospital, not great news.

Sorry this is gross.

Peter tubes are a mess. i had to check them today with his mum. there was a lot of gungey clotting blood running down the top tube from his heart. The opening was very bloody and open (well more open than an open wound into the body is iykwim). i had to call the transplant co-ordinator, and they have got him a bed back on the transplant unit so they can find out what is going on.

it could be an infection, but it could be the throxine(sp?) interacting with his warfarin. so i am back to waiting again.

UPDATE

the team at harefield have removed amssive clot from the tubes, not a life threatening thing but very yukky. they think thats its becuse of his INR level isnt right (thoyroxine interaction). he will see the VAD team tomorrow for them to keep a check on things. Peter is hoping to be home for tomrrow night, but tbh i think it will be later this week, as they will want to monitor him closely.

LGJ, they were gross. not an image easily shifted from my mind. the bottom one wasnt too bad, was quite healed, but the top one, [barf]

so glad i dont do dressings. i'd puke.

. But good to know that it's fixed and he won't be away for too long. Thinking of you all.
