Halfway up the thread and so many recommendations...to choose to choose!

imaginaryfriend · 12/08/2006 22:13

I know, it's bloody hard work. I wish we had a bit more money. Somebody else on there was looking for a house over 300 grand and I couldn't help feeling . We have a very small income and are currently in a council flat but we can't bear it any longer. Only we can't find ANYTHING we can afford ANYWHERE!!! I think some people just don't realise you really don't have a secret supply of money. Rant over.

charliecat · 12/08/2006 22:15

I live in a council house 1 minute down this road Im envious at your £800 a month rent limit

charliecat · 12/08/2006 22:19

How much mortgage is 800 a month?
I know my sisters house was about 160 and she got a mortgage for 800 a month, but that was a couple of years ago and it also means she can never jack in her job as her OH doesnt earn enought to cover it.

imaginaryfriend · 12/08/2006 22:22

She got a house for 160??? Even round here a studio flat is around 200. £800 a month is our absolute top whack though, we'd hope for closer to 700.

charliecat · 12/08/2006 22:24

2 bed on council estate with young mums home at end of road...NOT that it causes any trouble, but she brought it without looking Many wouldnt..it was the first think I noticed...LOL

charliecat · 12/08/2006 22:24

ive found and afordable caravan type house

imaginaryfriend · 12/08/2006 22:27

AAAAGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!

We'll be stuck here forever !!!!!!!!!!

charliecat · 12/08/2006 22:29

Ahh, but you will be a nice new place as a nonsmoker No yellow finger nails scraping the wallpaper

imaginaryfriend · 12/08/2006 22:30

But ... you know what ... if there was something like that in an area closer to where dp works I'd probably go for it. I mean it's got more space than we do now and it's not the worst thing in the world is it?

imaginaryfriend · 12/08/2006 22:33

I never ever smoke in our flat. It would be too awful. Pre-dd when I was a very heavy smoker I used to and the walls did tinge yellow and people always commented on it when they visited. Now the thought of being in a smoke-filled room horrifies me! Even though I smoke I can't stand smokey places.

charliecat · 12/08/2006 22:34

Its actually on a lovely little secluded estate full of similar type buildings with the most BEAUTIFUL gardens.

imaginaryfriend · 12/08/2006 22:35

Could we transport it closer to Trent Park?

charliecat · 12/08/2006 22:38

Why not...find a nice spot, get a big trailer...lets go LOL

charliecat · 12/08/2006 22:39

have you looked at swapping your council/HA place BTW?

Panboy · 12/08/2006 22:45

Hi all, esp. you two...dropped in on way to behavioural thread - IF - I stocked up on comfort food ( tomato soup, tinned rice pudding, arctic swiss roll and ate the lot in minutes - then continued to eat for about 3 days solid.."whatever it takes" - and locations? I live in the Peak District, Derbyshire - God's Own County!!

CC - sorry. BUT, it was an 'easy ride' as you were competent, and will be again!!

charliecat · 12/08/2006 22:47

Whatever it takes is that way

imaginaryfriend · 12/08/2006 22:49

panboy, you written your behavioural thread yet then?!

Cc, I'd have to drive to get a trailer, no?

Yeah, looked at all the council options - everybody wants to swap for bigger and better and we've got little of massive immediate appeal for somebody else to want. 2-bed flat in tower block, anyone?

Panboy · 12/08/2006 22:49

Have you devised an approach/plan for Monday??

charliecat · 12/08/2006 22:50

imagnary friend, you are not an old smoker thread person are you? Bells r ringing lol

Panboy · 12/08/2006 22:50

My next posting...see you if you are still around shortly.

imaginaryfriend · 12/08/2006 23:02

charliecat · 12/08/2006 23:04

You must have been drifting into my subconcious as I nearly searched an old name of your about 72 hours ago...and thought, nah, im here so much i would have seen her about.
OMg..get off those fags lass. Honestly.

charliecat · 12/08/2006 23:08

You will have noticed that I have moved on from failing to stop smoking to failing to pass a driving test...glutton for punishment me

Panboy · 12/08/2006 23:12

What's this?? Friends Reunited or what!! Got me quite tearful!!

Been on the behavioural-development section and started under "advice sought on VERY reserved/hesitant 6y.o. dd"..wishing to start softly. Please read to see if it is atleast not offensive ??
