Hopefully you'll have found your way here.

Here's a new race list list, feel free to add to it:

Playtex Moonwalk: 20 May, JoPG, Posey
British 10K: 2nd July, Crunchie, Titchy
RFL Newbury: 2nd July, Twink, Mini Twink, Twink's mum
RFL July: Dingle

Too late for me tonight but I'll post some 5k & 10k training ideas here soon.

Hi Crunchie and Dannie - have been chuckling over your rivalry! I take it you two know motherinferior? Does that mean you live in S. E. London? I've met her a few times, as we live pretty close - in fact she was the first mumsnetter I met in person.

I sacrificed my lie in this morning to get up and do the breakfast shift at 7am (normally dp does it), but this should mean I can go out for about an hour and a half at 9am. Think it's going to take all my willpower not to just go back to bed again!

Did my longest run ever - 10 miles, and really enjoyed it. What a great day for running - nice weather, but not too hot, and even the occasional refreshing breeze just when I needed it.

JoPG · 25/06/2006 22:50

Well done Pidge, not far off a half marathon now!

Am gonna try for 10 miles one night this week, have been relaxing a bit too much recently! Must kick my lazy a*se back into action

Well done Quanglewangle & Busy for starting running again after injuries. its always tough to go for the first run after a break.

Well done Pidge, no doubt you can run a half marathon now !

I ran on Sunday morning, it was great. I have a friend visiting from the UK, she cycled with me towing DS in the trailer, I felt great as she struggled to keep up with me ! She is from Norfolk though and considers things that I think are flat to be steep hills !

Paddingtonbear, get your lazy self out for a run, you know you will feel better once you have been out the first time. BTW, there is a cycling thread under 'Sports', but its a bit slower than this would be great to have a few more people there.

And a final point, can I make a suggestion that we start a new Runner's thread and put it under 'Sports'. The thread gets lost very quickly down the list in the health section.

quanglewangle · 27/06/2006 17:05

Good idea, if I was looking for a running thread I would have looked in sports, not sure how I came across this one. Glad I did though.

Twink · 27/06/2006 22:20

OK, just off to start new thread, back soon to give you the link
