Here we go !

OP posts:
topsyturner · 10/07/2012 14:32

We also have The Dreaded Sylvanians !
A house , the boat , and the car and caravan . All Christmas pressies from granny , I think they ate very expensive .
We have squirrels manning our boat .

Gigondas · 10/07/2012 14:32

So where do moles live?

Gigondas · 10/07/2012 14:33

resists childish desire to make joke about are there any beavers they look small, fiddly, with lots of bits to get lost and expensive?

Big gig is sure to love them .

topsyturner · 10/07/2012 14:41

Snigger .

MaryAnnSingleton · 10/07/2012 14:43

am sure you'll be fine on Friday kk ! will send special vibes.
S has playmobil in vast quantities- house/camper van etc etc - I passed on T's operating theatre to her. My niece has many Sylvanians - I love them- I have the Fisher cat family - most of all I want the fridge with all the food bits to go in it.
kk am not feeling very well on top of having pre going away anxieties and trying to finish work before going away. Am sure it'll pass- I want to write it in my blog, but I don't want my customers to see it and think they're putting pressure on me ! Also,a bit worried about just spouting on about these things.
Am looking forward to holiday as absolutely love where we're going (Suffolk, tiny but nice cottage which we've been to before in lovely village near all our favourite places) but I'm pretty much of the mind that requires a bit of pain for having something nice.
Off to collect S from school (in the rain) and mind her until 5.

KurriKurri · 10/07/2012 14:46

Oh dear - squirrels in the boat topsy - that can only lead to disaster (think of those tails getting caught up in the ropes

Moles live in burrows underground (they are in fact called the McBurrows family) - I don't think there is a Sylvanian burrow though so they'd have to go in the caravan or cosy cabin. There is a beaver family but the less said about them the better.

They have thousands of little bits which get lost, they are expensive, they break, they are very hard to dress and undress (so you have to do it) - Big Gig will love them Grin

I know to much about Sylvanians Blush

Gigondas · 10/07/2012 14:50

mas I think you should blog it- maybe don't post If sensitive as it will help to get it out. I won't say anything about how lovely holiday will be as that isn't what you are feeling now.

Yes we have playmobil and Lego so it's only a matter of time kurri

Have you looked in Mn classics for pirate sex thread topsyGrin? Will try and find you some interweb rubbish .

KurriKurri · 10/07/2012 14:52

I think we all tend to put pressure on ourselves just before we go away MAS - I know I do even if it's only visiting family I feel as if I have to get certain things done - and of course yours is work, so real pressure, not made up like mine!

But once it is out of the way and you can get away I'm sure you'll feel better - and the change of air will help you feel better physically too. Suffolk is lovely Smile

topsyturner · 10/07/2012 15:04

Pirate Sex ?????

smee · 10/07/2012 15:29

Ah there you all are.. Page 3 already though? Shock

Have been a bit broadband challenged, but it seems to have got its mojo back now. It's Parent consults at school in a bit, so will have to catch up later. Did spot that Sometimes's DD isn't with the thug this year though, so a big hooray for that. Smile

Special hugs and waves to Topsy. Sorry i missed wishing you luck. xx

topsyturner · 10/07/2012 16:56

So .
How bad is it to realise you are singing out loud to the song playing through your ear phones on the ward ?

Suppose it depends on the song ?
Macy Grays Sex-O-Matic Blush

topsyturner · 10/07/2012 16:57

Waves at Smee Smile

KurriKurri · 10/07/2012 17:00

Don't worry topsy - everyone on the ward will have had you marked down as a loon long ago Grin

topsyturner · 10/07/2012 17:05

Right , for that I have moved onto Allannis Morisette (sp?)
Loud rocky chick mode ...

NedSchneebly · 10/07/2012 17:12

We have quite a lot of playmobil knights/castle stuff here, and some police stuff, for playng cops and robbers! Got duplo, but planning for big box of mixed Lego for 5th birthday at the end of August.

topsy Definitely Noah and the whale, and would recommend beautiful south and roxette, for easy listening stuff. Savage garden's album Affirmation is fab. David Gray quite good too. Hows the Herceptin gone?

MAS sorry that life is a bit stressful for you - I know going away is hard for you. Hope you can get all your jobs done. Thinking of you x x

kurri have those new pills kicked in yet? Hope you are feeling a bit better. I'm in awe of your extensive sylvanian family knowledge.

smee am sure junior smee's teacher is pleased with him. We had DSs report last week and it was quite satisfactory Blush

Arf Grin @ beavers. . . . I am so childish. . .

Waves to sparkle, gig, autumn and anyone else around.

graciesmall09 · 10/07/2012 17:14

And she had the cheek to complain about me yesterday Grin. Are you really sure you want to come to NI to visit mad Irish girls?

Hope parent consult goes well smee.

House is very quiet, no arguing going on over the x-box but I do miss my little princess chattering.

Hope herceptin and chemo girls getting on ok.

graciesmall09 · 10/07/2012 17:15

Cross post with ned glad report was good. You are allowed to be proud.

KurriKurri · 10/07/2012 17:34

  • I think I can here topsy warbling away over here in the East, - or is it a car backfiring - who knows??? Grin

well done little ned for good report Smile - Pills do seem to have helped a bit - they make you drowsy apart from anything -so I got a good nights sleep (you only take one a day in the evening)

Hope Smee is getting on well at parents evening.

I'd love to meet you mad Irish girls - it's definitely on my to do list Smile

I have managed after about five attempts to scrape through one of my practice hazard tests by two points - progress!! Grin

Gigondas · 10/07/2012 17:47

Back now as had visitors. Onto the vodka (well looks like it) as I get my hard stuff back to back.

Grin at topsy singing aloud. How you doing? And did you find that thread or shall I link it?

Big gig did well in her gym show. Mini gig got taken to the dr by nanny1 to tell her she had a cold ( insert your own eye roll emoticon here).

Hope tonight ok smee and well done toned ds.

I am keen on a Ni trip to see the reprobates there (and have always wanted to go). It's on my list to do when off treatment.

Also smee mas and anyone else am keen to do a lunch sometime in my "good week" when dh is away. Have started planning a few things so feel a bit happier. That and dss/his gf acting a bit teenage so think may be better off at homeGrin

Have got over my earlier wobble which is good as its harder to get over when you are in hospital.

SparkleRainbow · 10/07/2012 17:47

Gig gig gig....of course there is a social order for sylvanian families....only the otter family is allowed on board...all others are made to walk the plank! The rabbit family is allowed to visit sometimes, the cat family never....guess they are afraid of water!

Grin at Kurri's in depth knowledge of sylvanian families...... Why oh why do I have to spend so much time redressing little animals, cos dd2 likes them "naked" so she says!

Kurri - chin up, you will be fine on Friday I am sure, try not to panic about it.

Smee hope all went well at parents evening/afternoon thingy.

Love to all.

Gigondas · 10/07/2012 17:55

Kurri you only just missed last time do will be fine.

I am in Shock at the new world order of sylvanian families. And despair as I know it's a matter of time ... And big gig will have her own laws that I need to remember .

MaryAnnSingleton · 10/07/2012 17:58

you lot always make me feel better -thnks- I know I'll be fine once work is done and I'm away, breathing sea air.
arf @ topsy's singalong !!
Am sure junior smee will be making his mum very proud !
Got soaked walking S home but have 2 Starbars as a reward for braving the hailstones...2 for £1 in WHSmith.

Gigondas · 10/07/2012 18:19

Can you get a pic of beach to focus on/meditate with when you feel it getting too much?

MaryAnnSingleton · 10/07/2012 18:30

I imagine the beach and being there with my book-I will try to picture it when I'm fretting!

OP posts:
graciesmall09 · 10/07/2012 20:17

Where do the golden labradors fall in the supreme order of Sylvanian? Must be quite high up as they own a large house with working lights. Their children all go to the day nursery and mummy works in a toy shop Grin. sparkleI too spend many an hour redressing not only sylvanian families but every doll and teddy that DD has and yet she insists on having lots of clothes for everything.

kurri wishing you all the best for Friday, you will be fine as you were so close last time.

mas what a shame to be caught in a downpour but good result with the Starbars. Yum. Visualing beach and a good book sounds good. Hope it helps.
