Here we go !

OP posts:
KurriKurri · 13/07/2012 18:17

I only went and passed didn't I?

I'm so relieved - I'll never have to practice all that highway code and hazard bobbins again Grin (apart from on the road of course Blush)

I didn't exactly pass with flyng colours - more scraped through by the skin of my teeth - but I don't care, a pass is a pass is a pass GrinGrin

Welcome home Gig Smile

hooray for clear mammo Sometimes Smile

Hope chemo and rads girls are OK and not feeling too yuk.

Will catch up properly later off to make an enormous stir fry, and stuff huge amounts of it in my mouth.

amberlight · 13/07/2012 18:19

KK, yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grin

topsyturner · 13/07/2012 18:19

Wooiooooo hooioiiiioo !!!!!
Blardy fab news !!!

MaryAnnSingleton · 13/07/2012 18:23

kk of course you passed !!!!!!!!! well done-I will drink an extra glass of wine to celebrate Grin !!

OP posts:
Gigondas · 13/07/2012 18:24

GrinGrin that's great news. Pass is a pass and in words of dss shows you didn't do a minute more than was necessary to pass.

graciesmall09 · 13/07/2012 19:02

Waahay kurri so very pleased for you and welcome home gigs.

KurriKurri · 13/07/2012 19:09

thanks all Smile

Gig you are right - I judged my revision perfectlyGrin

gracie - I agree with the fizzy drinks recommendation - apple flavoured lucozade was my favourite. Things which are a bit sharp - lemon or lime - are supposed to be good too. The mouth thing is horrid. xx

Sometimes - be sure to abuse your power tomorrow Grin do you get a megaphone? - I would demand one.

Flump - I like your list of essentials, esp. the pink fluffy camera case - I definitely need one of those. I could do with some ultra strong anti-aging serum too Grin

Waving and love to all for a good weekend, hope Bollocks is OK, I've lit my candle.

LimeJellyforBrains · 13/07/2012 19:51

Phew the suspense is over!!! Well done KK, we knew you could do it! Sooo pleased for you Smile

Thinking of Bollocks too (did I really just type that?) and hoping she is OK x

Baskets45 · 13/07/2012 19:58

Absolutely brilliant news, Kurri. Yay, yay, yay!!

Good to see Gig back home. Hope you are having lovely time and have good sleep in own bed tonight.

Hope everyone has good, fun and peaceful weekends, and Bollocks okay.

I bought a smelly candle too - apple and elderflower, all the way from Cornwall. A huge extravagance but it smells lovely. Same shop had lovely rings. Bling, bling!!

KurriKurri · 13/07/2012 19:59

Thanks Lime Smile Now I've just got to get through the practical test Hmm then I can tootle about on country lanes at 10mph to my hearts content Grin

KurriKurri · 13/07/2012 19:59

x-posted - waves to Baskets Smile

Gigondas · 13/07/2012 20:13

Ohh baskets smelly candle nice (remembers when I could have candles without fear of either small gig getting hold of them).

Am crying/smiling and so delighted with the parcel- you are so lovely and thank you so much.

bollocks hope you are ok - with any luck you are having a Wine. But if you are lurking and in the pit of shock/fear, we will be here with you. All of us have said been through it and can hold your hand . no matter how bad it seems now it will
Get easier (but am hoping that is happy news).

Gigondas · 13/07/2012 20:19

But 3 days home alone and dh thinks he owns the remote Hmm

KurriKurri · 13/07/2012 20:27

You need to wrestle that away from him pronto Gig Grin people who have just come home from hospital take priority!

I'm glad you are enjoying your parcel - you deserve a treat Smile xxx

Gigondas · 13/07/2012 20:29

Am I going to have to use the topsy "doncha know I have cancer" Line Wink (will probably not work as dh when i tried the "I am pregnant" line used to go on about how tiring it was to do his bit Grin).

topsyturner · 14/07/2012 06:34

Topsy is back in the land of the living !
I ended up having to take a temazepam (sp) tablet last night .
The steroids made me so damn twitchy I didn't know what end was up !
It was the most bizarre sensation .
I couldn't sit down , or stand up , or lie down . My whole body felt freaky !

Will go catch up properly in you all now x

Gigondas · 14/07/2012 08:32

Yay welcome back- am Doing ok but slightly disturbed night due to steroids and feeling bit nauseous/Tired. Off to acupuncture to fix that.

Brew for anyone?

holstenlips · 14/07/2012 08:56

Hello all! Long time since i posted on here but always a lurker
How is everyone doing?
This week was my 6months 'anniversary' from diagnosis.

topsyturner · 14/07/2012 09:23

Hey Holsten , welcome back !
How are you doing ?

Gig those steroids are a complete bugger aren't they ?

Have also started getting nosebleeds this morning .
I seem to remember Amber getting them on herceptin ?

Off to the opticians shortly . Have snapped one of the little plastic thingies off the nose part (tech term) .

Any news on Bollocks ?

holstenlips · 14/07/2012 09:31

Hi Topsy. Not going to do a jack duckworth with your specs then?
Its been a bonkers 6 months for me. Had some biopsys on thursdays so waiting now for results..
Gig how are you doing? And your little gigs'!

amberlight · 14/07/2012 09:33

Topsy, yup, I had them throughout herceptin treatment and for a couple of weeks after stopping. Since then, nothing at all. It's a known side effect. Don't blow your nose. If it's a major bleed, keep your head forwards and pinch the soft bits of the nose together for ten or fifteen mins. If that doesn't work, get to A&E. Hopefully you'll only have minor ones.

MaryAnnSingleton · 14/07/2012 09:37

yay holsten ! lovely to see you - hope biopsies not too uncomfortable and that the results will be good.
More disturbing dreams and woke up really late -grrr.
Love to all- gloomy,rainy here.

OP posts:
MaryAnnSingleton · 14/07/2012 09:38

topsy heed amber's advice about nosebleeds and take care
amber how was your four poster ?

OP posts:
amberlight · 14/07/2012 09:55

The four poster with the wiggly mattress was entirely unsuitable for playing dominoes upon. Every time we moved, we had great difficulty keeping the ends together.

Biscuit Grin
Gigondas · 14/07/2012 10:11

Grin at amber

holsten nice to hear from you- will add you on my profile so can see the gigs but they are good (mini gig quite chubby now). Hope biopsy all ok.

topsy take it easy - bleurgh to nose bleeds.
