here we are- how did that happen ?

OP posts:
topsyturner · 04/04/2012 22:32

Hmmm pig/dog is a little hat phobic too .
He does however love gloves !

KurriKurri · 04/04/2012 22:48

old lady dog likes to fight with lemonade bottles too - they make her very growly Grin

She also takes offence at and attacks things that we refer to as 'members of the brush family' - anything from the hoover down to the dustpan and brush, and a sort of fluffy duster on a stick thing which she absolutely hates Grin

Once we went to someone else's house and she spotted one of those old fashioned mops (the kind with a string head) she shot across the room like a dog out of hell and grappled it to death! Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 04/04/2012 23:00

Well done gig's dh - let's hope things will be ok nannywise.
Grin @ John Wayne is big leggy...
Gah- Celeste is holding one of her paws up- doesn't look sore or anything-I guess I need to get it checked.
Must go to bed-am incredibly tired,my own fault.

Morning all. Bleurgh. . . Tired today, did not sleep well. Had a very alarming hot flush type thing in the night, dripping with sweat though no temperature. Had to get up and change pjs. Is that common? Haven't had one before. Then didn't get back to sleep for 3 hours. Boo. . .

Good for DH gig one less thing to have to worry about for you. Looking forward to hearing about drain's very own Easter bonnet!

Grin at pig/dog topsy and old lady dog kurri gave me a chuckle!

MAS hope Celeste paw Ok this morning? Nothing too serious, hopefully. Did you sleep OK, once you got to bed?

Bit chilly and rainy here, but DH has lit the log burner for me, as the builders are in building new porch, so in and out of the front door.

Hope everyone OK today? Brew anyone?

Gigondas · 05/04/2012 09:35

I don't if it's common on fec but it sounds like classic hot flush/night sweat as had it Horrendously post birth. Sorry you are feeling yuck .

MaryAnnSingleton · 05/04/2012 09:36

oh poor ned- snuggle and rest today for you- passes hot cross buns...
Celeste is still lifting her paw,but doesn't seem to be in pain- have made an appointment this afternoon.
Coffee this morning with my friend S

That must have been miserable ned , hope tonight is better for you .

Does celeste enjoy visits to the vet ? Pig/dog gets very scared .

Got 2 sick DC today .
DD came through at 1am complaining of feeling sick . I sent DH through to sleep in her bed and kept DD in with me .
She woke me up aprox every 10 mins till she finally threw up at 6am .

Does it make me a bad mother to want to run away from home right now ?

MaryAnnSingleton · 05/04/2012 10:34

gah topsy -not a bad mum in the least- it's horrible having ill people to nurse. Hope they all get well soon.
Celeste doesn't mind the vet,she will meow in her box on the way of course, but she seems fine actually on the table. All the dogs we've had have been dreadful- really nervous and in a frenzy as soon as they recognised their destination.

OP posts:
Gigondas · 05/04/2012 11:09

No topsy- only one thing worse than sick kids and that is a sick dh.

OneInEight · 05/04/2012 11:11

Topsy - hope your dc are feeling better soon and that they don't be generous with their germs.

Ned _ I had the chemo glow after the epirubicin but not this time. Like you I am tired. Had difficulty getting to sleep, ds2 had nightmare at 3am and couldn't be persuaded to settle down in his own bed and then dh started rattling about at 5 am as goes to work early to avoid the traffic on the M6. Hopefully, will be better tonite as I've finished the steroids.

Can add chocolate brownies to the FBS trolley. Hugs to all.

topsyturner · 05/04/2012 11:54

DH is off work for 5 days after today , and if he follows true to form he will start feeling suck within 5 mins of walking through the front door !
And he is a huuuuuge challenge to be around when he is poorly Grin

topsyturner · 05/04/2012 11:55

Have pita bread , taramasalata for the fbs trolley .
And a huge wodge of choccie brownie for afters . (did we all get them on special offer in tesco last night ?)

NedSchneebly · 05/04/2012 12:10

Chocolate brownie for me, eight - thanks! Sorry you had a disrupted night too. Can you take it easy today? Maybe not, with boys to entertain. . . Hope DS2 not having school related nightmares? Poor lad.

Poor poorly miss topsy and master topsy Definitely not bad parenting to want to have a break. Hope you are all bearing up OK.

gig how you doing? Still draining? What news on rads?

MaryAnnSingleton · 05/04/2012 12:58

only a few more days of no chocolate ! save a brownie for me Grin
Ill husband is the worst, I think.

Gigondas · 05/04/2012 13:00

Gigondas · 05/04/2012 13:35

Chocolate nests all round Grin
How are The patients topsy?

NedSchneebly · 05/04/2012 13:42

Awesome news gig soooooo pleased for you! That must be such a relief for you. Ready for the next bit of the journey. . . Smile

jchocchip · 05/04/2012 13:44

Brilliant news Gig. Mmmmm Chocolate nests - only 2 days till the end of lent... It's not fair being ill when you have time off school, so hope miniTopsys make a super quick recovery.

topsyturner · 05/04/2012 14:26

DD just up chucked everywhere , twice ...
Sigh , and DH is working till 8pm today so I'm on my own .
Deep joy Sad

SparkleRainbow · 05/04/2012 15:04

Oo topsy - I am sorry for you, not fun sick dc, at all, although I would agree with you all sick dh is the worst!

Gig - fantastic news abiout the drain, well done you.

MAS - hope celeste's paw is ok, perhaps she has a splinter or something. The vet will sort her out in no time I am sure.

Ds has a friend over for a sleep over tonight, they are currently running around the fields like demented ninjas or sonething, can hear lots of whooping. Dd2 is below par, bit grumpy and tearful, but she says she doesn't feel poorly, so maybe it is developmental. Just checked on her and she has fallen alseep on the settee watching cbeebies.

Had a phonecall from dh this morning, which is unheard of as I am usually the wife to his mistress of work, and therefore the last person he would ring. He got to work and discovered a friend met through work was found dead in his home yesterday....he was in his mid thirties, lovely man, has stayed with us a few times, loved fishing with dh....what a shock, dh is really upset. RIP dear dear man. Sad

Gigondas · 05/04/2012 15:14

How old is dd2 sparkle?

Sympathy topsy- all kids illness is horrid but d and v the worst.

My lovely sis doing a great Mary poppins with big gig...she nearly got her to eat broccoli!!

Gigondas · 05/04/2012 15:15

Sorry one eight- hope tonight better , last thing you need is a disrupted night.

MaryAnnSingleton · 05/04/2012 15:16

oh Sparkle - how awful and shocking,I am sorry, poor dh Sad

Celeste has a cut or bite in between her pads- had anti inflammory and anti biotic jabs- will bathe it in salty water. Also she needs to lose weight Blush
