Hurrah for flowering plants, KK. Not sure what to make of the nose-tongue trick, but each to their own Xmas Wink

Had herceptin. Feel ok at the moment. Next up, another zapping in Larry the Linear Accelerator, which will be my 10th of 18!! Oh the joys of being more than half way.

Brew out for everyone.

just went for a swim and sauna in defiance of the wintry weather, though it is trying to brighten up now. Did some handstands in honour of smee Xmas Grin our pool is where people go to do lengths and the lunch time sessions are full of mature people ploughing up and down...Oh and my sinuses(?) are lovely and clear after a few rolls sans nose clip :)

jchocchip · 09/12/2011 15:30

smileys were broken but they are fixed now Xmas Grin

cakesandale · 09/12/2011 15:51

You have a nose clip? You are a serious swimmer!

jchocchip · 09/12/2011 16:29

I don't have a nose clip atm, which is why I have squeeky clean sinuses ;)

There's snow on them there hills! Mil's house is above the snow line - we don't have any in the valley. Glad the tenant has taken it 'as is' - they are going to do the redecoration/snags for a rent free period and we can stay in in the warm :-)

Hurray for Amber more than half way through :)

smee · 09/12/2011 20:12

Ooh have never reached the dizzying heights of a nose clip, Jane and have never ever managed to do those roll things

Shock at camping, cat. I can't imagine a worse way to spend the weekend.

Amber, really well done on Herceptin no.2. How are you feeling now?? Will keep my fingers crossed for no more bad reactions.

Right, DH out, DS reading in bed. I think I deserve Wine

MaryAnnSingleton · 09/12/2011 20:16

have had 2 x glasses of wine at parents already !
Am feeling guilty about cackling over cousins round robin Christmas letter

OP posts:
KurriKurri · 09/12/2011 20:46

Don't feel guilty MAS Grin - we get a round robin every year from a friend who lives abroad, boasting telling us about his sacks of money the bastard what he's been up to in the last year.

amber well done for the half way point. Fingers crossed that herceptin behaves itself this time.

I have lots of patches of eczema atm, - all over the back of my neck and on arm and face. V. attractive.

Definitely wine o'clock I think ladies. Wine

smee · 09/12/2011 21:09

We've had a round robin in verse. It's from DH's uncle and I look forward to them every year as they're so wonderfully terrible. Grin

Eczema sounds not very nice, Kurri. Is that recent, or an ongoing problem? I'm sure Wine helps. Grin

pinkstarlight · 09/12/2011 21:15

i havent been on for a bit due to pc problems or should i say teenagers downloading music grrr, finally sorted thank goodness.

im sure ive been like everybody else running round trying to get things done,we went to Lincoln market last weekend very nice but far to busy.

ds is in my bad books got a email from his teacher to say him and his friends keep being late for school, turns out him and 3 of his mates have been having to much fun skidding on the ice to worry about getting to school on time.boys huh.He dont help himself hes at his mates house who lives just up the road i said he could stay to 9 pm and hes now late grrr.

hope everyones ok,need to now catch up.

KurriKurri · 09/12/2011 21:16

fairly recent Smee - I've had skin problems since chemo, and they tend to flare up if I'm stressed. Wine is definitely recommended, and should come on prescription Grin

A round robin in verse sounds fab, - I would love one of those - I bet there's some terrible rhyming and scanning going on Grin

DH likes to read out the one from our friend, - he adapts it slightly and it goes 'I've got a huge house blah blah, I've got many servants blah blah I've got a big car and a beautiful wife blah blah, my five children are excellent both academically and on the sports field blah blah........' Grin

KurriKurri · 09/12/2011 21:19

Hello pink - nice to see you, - boys eh? - mine had no idea about time either, it drove me bonkers.

jchocchip · 09/12/2011 21:21

I like reading all the Christmas letters Mum gets, some are dafter than others but it is good for her to keep in touch. She has always been the family link and used to write about a hundred letters by hand. Its too much now so the news is duplicated - otherwise she would still be doing them in February :)

smee · 09/12/2011 21:23

Waving to Pink. Good to see you back. Smile

That's a sod about the Eczema, Kurri. Have you got things to use to help it?

topsytinselturner · 09/12/2011 21:31

Amber I can't believe you are over half way through rads already ! Hope the Herceptin is side effect free this month .

kk my psoarisis has flared back up again . The chemo cleared it all up completely . But now that has stopped , the psoarisis has reared its ugly head again Sad

Pink good to see you back again . Kids eh ?

Slept my headache off in a 2 hour nap this afternoon . Think maybe the week had just caught up with me .

What's the plans for the weekend ?
We have to pin down and force persuade DS to get his hair cut tomorrow . Always a joy !
And I have a feeling there is something else I have to do , but I can't for the life of me remember what it is ... Senior moment Grin

KurriKurri · 09/12/2011 21:36

My mum is also a great letter writer jane, and writes loads at Christmas - she always seems to have a list of 'people I must write to' Smile

I've got some steroid cream Smee, - but I can't use that for very long at a time, - and I'm not convinced it helps much. Baby moisturiser helps a bit sometimes, - I can go ages without a flare up, then I'm suddenly covered in it. Grrr.

KurriKurri · 09/12/2011 21:40

x posted topsy - psoriasis is a bugger too hopes your settles down soon, - funnily enough my skin was the best its ever been while I was actually on chemo.

Is it having a glass of Wine and a FBS that has slipped your mind? Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 09/12/2011 22:20
