Glad to find this old thread as I am newly diagnosed with Menieres. Terrifying vertigo! Doc started me on Serc, so really hoping it helps. Hard to tell as he says it can give a placebo effect. Sorry to hear you are unwell.

Hi Sweetness, well what a coincidence, my symptons have ramped up again last week after a cold/sinus infection. I had the same thing in October last year, was dxd with labyrinthitis - then Migraines. It went away very gradually but never completely. Had a good few months in summer though but now its back. I hate it Angry

Hi Sweetness - just stumbled across this thread - i wanted to ask if you ever got any better...i have been dizzy 24/7 for a year and a half...this is the most horrific thing that i would have ever imagined having. I am under the care of great doctors who assure me it will go...but when i see so many people that never get better i start to wonder. I apparently have chronic vestibular migraine...but not really a migraine as such just head / neck pain with constant unbalance and nausea that never ends and has had been back again since september.....tried so many meds i dont know where to begin!! i know this post is inactive, but if anyone has any help / advice i would really appreciate it!

I had several diagnoses over the years but finally saw a dizzy specialist who diagnosed me with some very strange tests and gave me exercises to change the way my brain works

Don't give up people - just keep going till you find the right diagnosis - I still have the odd moment but can go out alone without fear of falling over now

Hello one day I just started feeling my body move when I was still especially my legs would just feel they were swinging and I would sit my equilibrium was off I share this with as many people because it was hell but I made mistakes starting with doing vestibular balance exercizes which in hind sight made things worse I went to 3 specialist my ears checked out and my head so much for all the high priced doctors finally on a fluke a doctor said I had a virus in my ear but it's very undetectable I started with 5 days of neomycin drops in each ear the medication was called Otilin it's an topical antibiotic wham I was cured in 3 days but like a dumbbell I went and worked out doing a lot of head movements when I should have rested so I got set back 3 times the regimen that finally cured me was neomycin 3 times a day 5 days diphenidiol while doing drops and finally did SERC betahistine vasodilatier 3 times a day for. 10 days I can live now you will know right away if it works I am still scared and no plan for exercizes for 1 year just walking which doctor recommended

Hi every one. Just been reading every one logs on migraines and vertigo as I been having problems. I suffered with really bad migraines roughly 8 years ago but last years. Awful pain throwing up. I was given pizotifen and they helped. Migraines stopped after split from x partner . Last year I suddenly started getting funny dizzy spells. Like my eyes were going in the opposite direction to each other .lasts few seconds. Saw specialist at net dizzy clinic who said I had migraine related to vertigo but no pain. Felt confused. Told me to go back in pizotifen . Which I kept forgetting. Anyway symtoms went away. Omg they are back. I get dizzy spells with sweat to my back sometimes. Feel of balanced, one lead to a migraine. Constantly feeling sick and like a foggy head ,can't turn quickly , never been able to lay flat on hard floor or bed with out pillow. Always suffered with car sickness ect, don't drink .yes a smoker not heavey. I've got the pizotifen back out and due to start tonight.can anyone help me as I take them at night, but I also work night shifts so do I take them still or not when I'm on nights shift. I'm not sure either what I actually have just its migraine related to vertigo . Don't have tinittus or hearing loss , just feeling bit fed up and confused x

Hi everyone
I just found this thread and wonder how everyone is getting on?
I had a bad bout of Meuniere's back in the 1970s. It went undiagnosed for months and finally I was prescribed Serc which really helped. Was free of it until two weeks ago when, after a virus, it returned. Have never felt so ill in my life and can empathise with all who suffer with this terrible thing.
I am taking Serc again and it has helped with the dizziness but feel so sick and nauseous in the mornings, can't even get out of bed. Not sure whether it's a side effect of the Serc - whether I should stop it?
Any advice please?
Love to you all.
