Does Farage deserve any credit for this one? Lee Anderson was the sitting MP and Deputy Chairman of the Tory Party until quite recently! Dreadful man.

He looked grumpy and bored. There was no big speech. Did he even mention Farage? Surely he should be buzzing at being Reform's first win of the night.

I blame the Tories for stirring up hatred and suspicion and paving the way for a party like Reform.

It's not hugely surprising given that he was the incumbent. Minimum expectations would be for him and Farage to win their seats.

I love election results when they announce them, it's like a very useful map of where never to bother visiting/living. It's always handy to know I can easily avoid the racist, sexist Mr Farage fans.

I’m not surprised at all. I know Ashfield well, because I grew up a few miles down the road. Lee Anderson is a local man. An ex-miner who represents a ex-mining area. He sounds, acts & speaks like the people he represents, and he shares their views. Isn’t that what an MP is supposed to be?
