St Neots has quite a young population, relatively speaking, which may also have influenced outcomes.

My husband voted labour, he’s Jewish and married to a brown man. I’m yet to hear a labour candidate calling anyone a p**i.

How dare you tar all Reform voters as racist, I have never called a south Asian the P word. I don’t blame the illegal migrants for wanting to risk their lives to come to Britain, I blame these governments. I can’t see this new government making the effort to tackle the people smugglers, there is no deterrent to stop them, they are going to keep risking their lives to get here. I voted Reform because I think they will be a strong opposition- like I said in an earlier post, I have friends who are Asian & black & they agree enough is enough

You called all labour voters racist. But I’ll write it again, I’m yet to hear of a labour candidate calling some a p*i, you may not have called someone a p*i, but you’re happy to support people who do. Why is the ethnicity of your friends relevant?

Just like you labour supporters that call reform voters racists, some maybe, but that is their view-not mine - I am saying that there has been racism in the Labour Party in the past - it it hurts to be called one, doesn’t it? Incidentally I had the same view when I voted Tory.

@Mt61
Surprised you voted for reform because they would of been a "strong opposition".

The term strong can't surely be based on their policies - they have none. When questioned on anything mildly uncomfortable, or asking how they would tackle XYZ issue, Farage's response came straight out of the Trump playbook...deny, don't want to answer that one, your boring, that's a lie, and many others ad nauseam.

He was set for working on Trumps campaign even after the general election date was set, trying to ingratiate himself into US politics and make money from it, again.

Once news came of Trump being convicted he soon changed that tune and decided his better option would be to run for MP.

The man has no moral compass, lies pathologically and can barely hide his and his parties archaic and racist beliefs.

Funny, if not more than a little ironic, that you say Mr Farage cannot answer any mildly uncomfortable question. When compared to Keir Starmer he answered all questions put to him calmly and rationally by incredibly biased MSM outlets such as the BBC during the campaign, and indeed long before the campaign. Mr Starmer changes his mind, and answers, to any slightly awkward question, e.g. “What is a woman”, dependent on which way the public mood is swaying. He has changed his many on this and so many other questions that you have to fear for this country when he is put up against other World leaders. As for being a racist I think you will find the Labour Party is comprehensively more racist (anti-Semitic) than other parties but let’s just sweep that under the carpet shall we?

You cannot deflect the rampant racism, xenophobia and homophobia of Reform by talking about Labour anti Semitism. It's not like there is a 1 party monopoly on shitty thinking.

Nigel Farage is consistent with his silly views considering he offers no actual feasible plan. It's easy enough to answer the question with "Stop the boats!" over and over again when he knew he didn't have to provide any evidence of how this would be achieved.

MSM isn't biased against NF, considering the Mail and such love him because they love stoking the same fires he does.

Vote for who you want but don't expect everyone else to believe a proven grifters current scheme.

Mt61 · 09/07/2024 17:23

Thank you, I will indeed vote for whom I want, as should you. As for expecting everyone else to agree with my choice I certainly don’t, and by the same token, with regards to your choice, neither should you.

Congratulations to you all with the Mp you wanted.
I voted Labour but thanks to the racist majority, and the 44% who couldn't be bothered to vote, my town now has a Reform MP. Well done Gt Yarmouth, darker days ahead

44% didn’t vote? Wow.
