I can’t believe how many people on here have voted reform! But on the other had, they will be helping GTTO… every cloud I suppose.

I don't think they realise this.
🤣

Whu · 04/07/2024 21:44

We have over 5k votes! A great sample size.

15 mins…

Two Lib Dem's here on the GTTO basis and labour have no hope where we live.

Interesting, I think this "exit poll" looks quite accurate and what you would expect.

What does the poll show please?

It doesn't display on the app.

Voted Labour in a safe Labour seat. Toyed with the idea of voting Green to show them a bit of support instead, but after 14 years of austere misery I couldn't help but treat myself to a vote that will (I pray) accurately reflect the desperate change of government we need tomorrow 🥳

This sort of thing https://inews.co.uk/news/world/russia-uk-election-meddle-mumsnet-3072676

Not necessarily AI, could just be people paid to astroturf.

Yes I'm pretty sure I've come across these types.

They often derail threads so that it becomes about a side aspect rather than the original thing being discussed. They are notable because they are incredibly persistent and reply to every poster who supports the original premise, who then argue with them and the initial point gets lost and people stop reading the thread.

BarHumbugs · 04/07/2024 21:48

3x Labour votes here.

I was planning to vote Lib Dem but they were really aggressive in their campaigning here and a lot of it was very dishonest, it put me right off. When I pointed out a few things that they were saying were not actually the case and provided proof they were horribly patronising and they doubled down. A friend told me this seems to have been the case country wide with cherry picked statistics and meaningless graphs.

I will feel annoyed if it means the Tories get back in here, but I will not feel guilty.

Pinkstanley · 04/07/2024 21:49

Where is the poll. I can’t see it.

😂😂😂 Well hopefully it’s spoiled a lot of the Daily Heil readers’ evenings too, so maybe it’s worth it this once?

Reform

DisforDarkChocolate · 04/07/2024 21:52

Independent here, aiming to reduce the Tory majority.

Whu · 04/07/2024 21:53

@mnhq any chance of locking this poll at 10pm please?!

It is illegal under the Representation of the People Act 1983 - on the day of a General Election - for all media outlets to publish how people have cast their votes, or attempt to forecast the result of the election.

The regulations also do not specifically cover social media, however broadcasters must continue to follow the rules – no matter the platform, and individual journalists still need to be careful of what they share.

The act is supposed to limit discussion of how people are voting on the day, which might in turn affect how other people vote later.

This isn’t media it’s a chat forum.

I’m really intrigued to see how closely the MN poll resembles the actual result.

i sometimes feel like MN is massively removed from the ‘real world’ so am fascinated to see the reality.

Parkingt111 · 04/07/2024 21:55

Wow didn't expect to see such high numbers for reform. It will be interesting to see how accurate the mumsnet sample size will turn out to be, in comparison to the actual results
