Thanks @AnneKipankitoo my front garden is still very colourful. The rudbeckia has enjoyed the wetter summer..not so much the heat this week!

Sweetpea1532 · 06/09/2023 07:34

@AnneKipankitoo beautiful, healthy hedge...you have it so neatly manicured, too

And thank you for starting lucky #7 thread

Lottsbiffandsmudge · 06/09/2023 07:34

Yes it's a fig. Only been in the ground for a year, it's doing so well.

smokingcarriageonly · 06/09/2023 12:24

It was almost comical how well hidden these figs were until they were almost falling off. Having fed them (once Blush), I had a vague awareness there was some fruit on the tree but they linger in the small, hard, green phase for so long I didn't give it a lot of thought.

Spooky it must be happy! Mine thrive on neglect.

Spookymormonhelldream · 06/09/2023 12:44

Mine must thrive on neglect, I didn't even notice the fruit till my friend pointed it out!

@AnneKipankitoo such a lovely serene spot behind your beech hedge. Do I see a dark maroon plant in the back near the end of the hedge?
