Beautiful. How have you kept your grass looking so healthy? Mine is yellow as a yellow thing.

My DH did weed and feed on it. Also we live in Scotland so we have had a good bit of rain recently.

My SIL in Aberdeenshire has very parched grass.

That is a very clever photo shot @daisychain01 . I still can’t see the obelisk!
Your sweet pea flowers are lovely and the foliage looks good too - often they go awfully brown and withered.

You're right, @Maggiethecat sweetpea really do a spectacular act when they die, mildew, brown, crispy the whole deal 😆 amazing when you think how lovely they are in bloom.

Heres a photo of them in August when you could see the obelisks.

My sweet peas have been rubbish this year, think I started too late. Sunflowers and chilli’s have been amazing, as have some self seeded tomatoes and potatoes! Not so sure about gladiolus- they have grown well but seem to only work as cut flowers as they flop over if left in the garden once blossoming.

That's sensational ILikeDungs certainly one happy plant!

ILikeDungs · 11/09/2025 23:25

Thank you, but I think it was quite stressed because of the heat waves and dry summer, and was giving it's all in case it died!

Didn't die, all well now that rain has come.

@ILikeDungs Thank you for drawing my attention to my Felcos. Ive never given them the accolades they deserve...I used them yesterday to cut back 5 pampas grass mounds and the felcos didn't even need to be sharpened before I started wacking away. So, I guess they are definitely worth the price. I'll attach photos later
