Sorry to hear you’re back in hospital @Piggywaspushed, I hope you get better soon. Try to rest up and don’t worry about what needs to be done.

@Alsoplayspiccolo hope your Dd is ok. It does seem unlikely the others avoided it. LFTs are notoriously unreliable though.

whatsnext2 · 21/08/2021 14:34

@Alsoplayspiccolo sorry to hear your dd not well, hope she feels better soon.

ealingwestmum · 21/08/2021 15:18

Wishing speedy recoveries to all of you nursing the sick! Piggy, priority is for you to rest up right now.

SandyBayley · 21/08/2021 15:29

Get well soon @Piggywaspushed

Volterra · 21/08/2021 15:56

Hope you feel better very soon Piggy

MidLifeCrisis007 · 21/08/2021 19:04

@Piggywaspushed... I'm sorry to hear you are in hospital. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

In relation to the Boardmasters loos, I understand the problem was the hard to find flusher button. People didn't know how to flush so the loos all filled up with paper (and ......) and then became unflushable by the few who did work out where the button was. I understand Reading loos are more hole in the grounds than plush flush ones. So they stink but don't clog up. Apologies if that's too much information.....

BlueMarigold · 21/08/2021 19:17

Get well soon @Piggywaspushed Flowers

icanbewhatiwant · 21/08/2021 19:41

@Piggywaspushed yes...get well soon.

My mum never did get anymore symptoms after her positive covid test. Just a sore throat for a couple of days. T&T told her to stay indoors until end of tomorrow, that is day 12. She will be pleased to get back to normal. She usually has carers to help her shower...they've not been in for 11 days. She says she's looking forward to her shower.

Ds2 drove to the train station today. First drive alone. I was worried. He then got a train with friends to watch a football match. He had to use google maps to get to the train station and home...it is only a few miles and a couple of straight roads, he just never knows where he is or his way anywhere.

MirandaWest · 22/08/2021 07:49

That’s rubbish @Piggywaspushed Sad

Piggywaspushed · 22/08/2021 07:52

Thanks all ... am out of hospital now. Thankfully, they let me out at 7pm which meant I could come home and go to bed and get a night's sleep. The ward was very noisy! I was admitted to it after waiting for 11 1/2 hours at 5 am so no chance of any sleep. And the number of patients who speak to people on the phone with their speakers on!! And then two women competing with each other for who could watch their device the most loudly (I heard the whole of The Chase yesterday, so much so I started answering the questions...) And there was also the fun argument between two patients about vaccines...

NCTDN · 22/08/2021 08:12

Sounds horrible piggy. I assume everyone in the ward is positive then? Scary despite being double jabbed...

estherfrewen · 22/08/2021 08:16

Glad you're home @Piggywaspushed - ward sounds horrendous. Hope you're feeling a bit better today

AndwhenyougetthereFoffsomemore · 22/08/2021 09:16

Oh @Piggywaspushed: that sounds hideous! I do always think hospitals are the worst places to be ill!! I meant to say - if we do go to Bath en route back, let me know if there’s anything you’d like us to photograph for you? I’m guessing everything will be on the website anyway but if we can help just yell. Ds was VERY impressed with Bristol! He pretty much had decided he wanted campus but really liked the vibe of the city. Of course everything must have been quiet as no students in - hard to imagine how that changes things…

Piggywaspushed · 22/08/2021 09:37

Oh, that's a lovely offer, thank you. If you do go, maybe just some pics of nice bits of campus/ sports stuff/accommodation. But don't go out of the way on my behalf!

Volterra · 22/08/2021 09:56

Very pleased to hear you are home Piggy, sounds hideous in there.

Andwhenyougetthere, I’ve always felt that it gives the place an extra kind of buzz when the students are back. I think if they gel with the feel of Bristol it’s an amazing place to be a student.

icanbewhatiwant · 22/08/2021 09:59

@Piggywaspushed glad to hear you are out. Mobile Phones weren't much of a thing when I'd been in hospital until I had ds3 (now 12) the girl in the bed next to me spent the whole day on the phone to several people, going through her birth in detail up to her emergency c section, I knew it word for word by the end of the day. They should ban noisy people on phones.

AnneOfCleavage · 22/08/2021 11:01

So sorry to hear you'd gone back in to hospital Piggy but relieved you're back home now so you can really rest and recuperate in peace.

I'm assuming that if someone who'd gone to Boardmasters hadn't got symptoms by now will be okay to socialise? DD meeting up with a friend tomorrow who'd gone there but neither she or the mum have mentioned anything to us so can I assume that's fine would you think? DD is double jabbed now and the Boardmaster friend is single jabbed but had COVID last year.

Zandathepanda · 22/08/2021 11:08

Technically I think it’s 10 days though the first 5 days is the most likely.
