I eat mine out of the plug a la Saltburn.

GreenCaterpillarOnALeaf · 11/02/2026 22:17

I can’t stand it on its own it’s pure mining but because protine I put it in my egg bites.

MsSmartShoes · 11/02/2026 22:17

But really - Longley Farm is not readily available nation wide. Some of us have to do without.

IsItAllMenopause · 11/02/2026 22:21

I have the LF with chives in two ways. Add to two scrambled eggs. Or with smoked salmon and salad.

likelysuspect · 11/02/2026 22:21

Im going to try those other two recommendations as contingency plans.

If you’re dieting which is the only reason to eat cottage cheese then with lots of butter defeats the purpose.

Have you ever tried Longley Farm (full fat) cottage cheese? You really don't need to be 'on a diet' to enjoy it 😆

Having said that, it's ideal for a low carb diet. Otherwise, there's about 260 calories in a tub (if you're calorie counting) so not the lowest calorie food but not so high that you can't easily factor it into a calorie counted meal plan.

crazeekat · 11/02/2026 22:22

Straight out the tub but I only like pineapple.

Missohnoyoubetterdont · 11/02/2026 22:31

On a baked sweet potato with plenty of sweet chili sauce and black pepper.

Oh nice idea I have some ham in the freezer.

Ooh, what about a bit of mustard spread on the ham?

Yes that would work , I’ve used dijonnaise and that was good

Salome61 · 11/02/2026 22:35

I’m veg and did the Fast 800 - one of the meals was cottage cheese and berry fruits, plus a sprinkling of cinnamon to aid digestion😀

IceOnTheLake · 11/02/2026 22:37

On toast with strawberries in the summer.

It's not easy to get where we live, so I've resorted to making my own.

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 11/02/2026 21:57

I had the full fat LF today on a kallo corn cake with m&s Korean coleslaw (which comes with chilli oil for drizzling) and some fresh tomatoes. And salt.

Now that sounds delicious

Morrisons (though often only the pineapple one on the shelf), Waitrose (though often only their own brand on the shelf, which is wet, tasteless and repulsive), Asda (though rarely in stock), Iceland (though I never shop there). Also Ocado.

When it’s in stock in Morrisons I buy four tubs.

Edited

M&S do - I buy 6 a week as H has it most days for lunch on proper Swedish crisp bread!! With a glass of vegetable juice

Emily English protein pancakes with maple syrup. Or baked potato shed loads of black pepper and a tuna salad on the side. When I’m trying to hit protein goals.
I always hated cottage cheese until I tried LF. It’s the best. Ocado sell it x

catera · 11/02/2026 22:40

On rice cakes with everything bagel seasoning or chilli crisp

Happyjoe · 11/02/2026 22:48

ItsStillWork · 11/02/2026 20:23

It’s baby sick when warmed up and thrush when it isn’t.

disgusting stuff.

Lol, I hate the stuff but this description is tops. I shall remember this!

It's on Ocado, in Sainsbos and B&M.

HarryVanderspeigle · 11/02/2026 22:50

On rosemary and sea salt crackers. It's the only way.

Hosoan · 11/02/2026 22:51

On toasted rye bread with honey
With oatcakes
Just out of the pot with a spoon

Snugglemonkey · 11/02/2026 22:51

On a cracker, or rice cake with prawns and kimchi.

ilovesooty · 11/02/2026 22:53

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 11/02/2026 21:03

On wholemeal toast or straight out of the tub. Which supermarkets stock Longley, my local Tesco doesn't

Same here, or with cherry tomatoes. Currently Asda have it back in and Iceland have it.

ArtesianWater · 11/02/2026 22:53

I don't eat it at all anymore because it got gentrified and my local Asda stopped selling it.

In happier times I used to eat it straight from the pot, with a spoon.

TheQuirkyPombear · 11/02/2026 22:56

In a baked sweet potato x
