What's for dinner tonight?

I feel like we haven't had one of these threads since the evenings have started getting lighter and the weather (hopefully) is getting warmer.

I am absolutely sick of choosing what we eat every single day of my life so everybody please tell me what you're having tonight and inspire me!

Me too...love this topic for any ideas.

BellaBlossoms · 16/04/2023 17:36

Sun dried tomato burger with balsamic onions, wedges and salad.

Scottishskifun · 16/04/2023 17:52

Smoked Paprika and garlic chicken with potatoes and garlic green beans.

Mostly it all goes in the ninja foodie for 30 mins (whole chicken) other then the green beans. That thing has changed my life as cooking is way quicker and a lot less effort!

Even though I love cooking I do get fed up of sorting it every day of the week! DHs attempts are horrific even following a recipe!

BingleBongleBoo · 16/04/2023 18:02

Sausage mash and beans. Dinner of champions that

cafecreme · 16/04/2023 18:21

We had Cajun salmon, roast potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower cheese. For the first time in all my years of cooking, the cauliflower cheese sauce curdled! I assume it was the milk.

My teens didn’t notice and ate it but it looked terrible. I’m having a glass of wine now to get over it 😅

Following for inspiration

Bakinhappy · 16/04/2023 18:27

We had roast chicken. I bought an extra large one so I have half the chicken left to make chicken fried rice for tomorrow evenings dinner.

lemonyellows · 16/04/2023 18:29

Spaghetti bolognaise. Garlic bread for kids. Air fried flatbread strips for us

Babdoc · 16/04/2023 18:31

A cod stew, in red wine and tomatoes, with lots of garlic, lemon, onions, herbs, kombu, celery seed, peas and corn, served on a bed of brown rice. With a big glass of Sangria!

onwardandupwards · 16/04/2023 18:44

We had a small bbq with baked potatoes and salad

Gottoloveatakeaway · 16/04/2023 19:01

Butternut squash and spinach curry with brown rice - using a jamie oliver curry paste.

justawee · 16/04/2023 19:05

Sorry mean spring greens Blush

laddersandsnakes12 · 16/04/2023 19:08

We're having a lasagna, and I'm making a loaf of bread which I'm then going to slice, butter on some garlic butter and grill to make garlic bread slices. In need of carbs today!

Trying this chowder - adding a sweet potato because it needs using up. Will eat it with nachos and guacamole.

Can now report that this was delicious, if anybody is interested!

motherofawhirlwind · 16/04/2023 19:36

Gammon / veggie burgers, with roast potatoes, honey roast carrots and parsnips, pigs in blankets (Xmas stash), cauli cheese, peas, gravy. Nom!

Fillmyheartwithsong · 16/04/2023 19:39

Pizza.hut delivery for me and my two sons who have just got back from weekend in London.
We are celebrating sons birthday.

Ylvamoon · 16/04/2023 19:50

We had pork filets in a creamy mushroom & mustard sauce with egg pasta and salad. It's DC'S favourite Sunday meal!

clare8allthepies · 16/04/2023 19:57

Wow thanks for all the replies, I haven't sat down all day to have a chance to look! Both kids moaned so much at my suggestion of a roast that I did a beef stew with a puff pastry hat, mash and loads of veg that they surprisingly ate without any complaints. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Going to have a proper read through in the morning to write myself a meal plan.

Slag Bol- sorry! 🤪🤪

Tintackedsea · 16/04/2023 22:56

Roast pork with lots of garlic, rosemary and fennel, apple sauce, gravy, roast tatties, roast parsnips, steamed purple sprouting broccoli, crackling, miso butter onions.

I don't really like roasts but this was ok actually. The psb was out the garden and 100% better than shop bought. I'm going to plant a lot more of that this year.

Last night was belly pork, roast potatoes, broccoli and gravy.

Going to try Taming Twins’ garlic and honey chicken. Haven’t had the slow cooker for long and so far everything I’ve tried has been a bit meh so fingers crossed this’ll be better.

Lsquiggles · 17/04/2023 10:37

Trying out naan bread pizza tonight using leftover chicken from yesterday's roast

murasaki · 17/04/2023 11:35

@whatsyourpoison13 ooh to rabbit mince, we love rabbit, and have one in the freezer, but normally do it with tagliatelle and a creamy mustard sauce. Did you buy the mince already minced or just use chopped bunny?
