I feel like we haven't had one of these threads since the evenings have started getting lighter and the weather (hopefully) is getting warmer.

I am absolutely sick of choosing what we eat every single day of my life so everybody please tell me what you're having tonight and inspire me!

Chicken souvlaki, couscous and roasted vegetables

Baconking · 16/04/2023 16:46

Slow roast beef, roasties, broccoli , cauliflower, carrots, yorkshires and gravy

AdoraBell · 16/04/2023 16:47

Probably cheese and crackers. Just back from local pub having huge and delicious roast dinner.

thenightsky · 16/04/2023 16:47

Tuna steaks with oven chips and veg. Not sure whether to do a sauce though.

Anjo2011 · 16/04/2023 16:49

Burger and sweet potato fries.

PayNoAttentionToTheNastyLady · 16/04/2023 16:50

Salmon, marinated in/with ginger, lime and chillies, with mangetout, baby corn, courgette and asparagus

murasaki · 16/04/2023 16:52

@thenightsky that was me yesterday, DP doesn't eat fish, so I thoroughly enjoyed it. A bit of pesto on the tuna steaks goes well

LittleFriendSusan · 16/04/2023 16:52

We're having pork & almonds with air-fried potatoes, purple sprouting broccoli & green beans. Had a big cooked breakfast / brunch & not really hungry yet so won't be eating till later.

GiltEdges · 16/04/2023 16:53

Lentil cottage pie and spring greens. It was a Gousto recipe and seemed to take forever to make, but DS has just had his portion and it was gone in an instant, so a surprise hit. Hopefully DH and I will feel the same when we have ours later.

mamaduckbone · 16/04/2023 16:55

Roast pork and all the trimmings. We haven't had a roast for ages and I really fancy it. Just realised I forgot to buy apple sauce though.

longtompot · 16/04/2023 16:57

Lots of delicious sounding dinners😍 The cod & ndjua sounds really good @AtleastitsnotMonday do you have a link for the recipe? We had kedgeree for the first time in a while on Good Friday. Love it so much. The salmon on egg fried rice sounds a good alternative for my dd who doesn't like kedgeree.

I normally do a roast every Sunday, but tonight we are having coq au Riesling ala Nigella with mash and veggies.

DanceToTheMusicInMyHead · 16/04/2023 17:01

We normally have a roast but had one at relatives yesterday. So today is homemade steak pie with spring greens followed by apple and sultana loaf and custard

BCBird · 16/04/2023 17:01

What's slag bog? Made me laff. Is it served on the body of a sexually promiscuous man or woman draped across the table🙈

Christmascracker0 · 16/04/2023 17:02

Either a Dominos or a McDonalds.. I’m thinking Dominos!

PurpleReindeer2 · 16/04/2023 17:06

Roast pork, roast potatoes, honey roasted carrots and parsnips, savoy cabbage, broccoli, gravy (whispers this bit....and yorkshire puddings.)

Rainsdropskeepfalling · 16/04/2023 17:06

Beans on toast. Except I don't think we have any bread in the freezer.

Maybe quesadilla if we have any cheese?

It's this one.

Mushroom and hazelnut soup with marinated mushrooms, peppers and celery in a Derbyshire oatcake.

longtompot · 16/04/2023 17:18

Thank you @AtleastitsnotMonday I will make that soon, but might try it with basa fillets as we all seem to like them

BBQ pulled pork, corn on the cob and homemade baked beans.

Also BBQ pork but slicing it (the one in the bag from aldi) with oven chips, green beans, corn on the cob.

HOw does one make homemade beans?

angieloumc · 16/04/2023 17:32

My DD is off back to uni soon so she chose tonight's dinner, savoury mince (with carrot and swede in a gravy) and mashed potatoes. Sort of like a deconstructed cottage pie haha. Have made at her request Yorkshire puddings too, though imo doesn't go.
Made a apple and berry crumble for pudding too.

Moonshine60 · 16/04/2023 17:33

Spagbol here as well. Just can't be bothered any more. Slaving over a stove for 2 of us and DH hardly interested in the food (unless it's a fry up) is a pointless exercise now🙂

APurpleSquirrel · 16/04/2023 17:34

Beef Bourguignon

MadEyeMoodysEye · 16/04/2023 17:35

Veggie burgers, wedges & salad
