What do you put on your porridge?

In my house, it's officially porridge season Grin

I normally have it with blueberries and almonds, or banana (and sometimes banana, walnuts and maple syrup when I'm feeling indulgent!)

Any other ideas? What do you add on yours? Only thing I wouldn't like is chocolate as it's too sickly first thing in the morning.

Blackberries and maple syrup. Healthy!
Brown sugar and cream. Not healthy!

NamedyChangedy · 04/09/2020 18:38

Raisins, mixed seeds (pumpkin, sunflower etc), peanut butter, maybe a banana if I'm famished. Ooh cinnamon's nice too, if out of peanut butter - I'm not sure those go together...

Ingridla · 04/09/2020 18:38

Honey & raisins

AldiAisleofCrap · 04/09/2020 18:38

Just regular white sugar.

notacooldad · 04/09/2020 18:39

Cream and maple syrup ( thankfully it's not porridge time in our house yet!)

UntamedWisteria · 04/09/2020 18:40

Blueberries and chia seeds

PickAChew · 04/09/2020 18:40

Sliced banana and a pinch of salt.

Lisette1940 · 04/09/2020 18:40

Greek yoghurt, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries.

EvilPea · 04/09/2020 18:41

Handful of frozen mixed berries during cooking so the oats absorb some of the berry juice.

I’ve made a cherry Bakewell one before with almond milk, almond extract and cherries

literategiraffe · 04/09/2020 18:42

Just milk and then a sprinkle of salt!

fretnot · 04/09/2020 18:42

Runny almond butter, a sprinkle of ground seeds, cinnamon, a little maple syrup ... and has to be jumbo oats!

notangelinajolie · 04/09/2020 18:49

Just white sugar.

PilatesPeach · 04/09/2020 18:49

Half a scoop of vanilla protein powder mixed in before cooking then I add blueberries, a banana, some chopped dates and some sugar free butterscotch syrup - keeps me going all day till dinner (I use 30g of oats)

Knittedfairies · 04/09/2020 18:51

Muscovado sugar (or I would if Asda would send me some...) and milk.

Proudpeacock · 04/09/2020 18:53

Raisins, cinnamon and chia seeds

Puzzlelover · 04/09/2020 18:54

Coconut milk, crushed almonds and honey.

whirlwindwallaby · 04/09/2020 18:58

Blackberries, or blueberries when the blackberry stash runs out, mixed seeds, then sliced banana and butter on top.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 04/09/2020 18:58

Banana, honey and cinnamon for me. Frozen berries, honey and cinnamon for ds and milk and brown sugar for DP. We do have a plan to experiment with Biscoff this weekend though Grin
