The Shawshank Redemption is the most overrated film ever. By far. It’s dull, sentimental tripe with a ludicrous plot. Burrowing your way out of a high-security jail with just a rock hammer would take several human lifetimes. And as for the ludicrous scene where a bunch of murderers & rapists get all weepy over opera, that’s just too daft to laugh at.

Blade Runner is sooo boring!

There is zero chemistry between the leads in Dirty Dancing and I didn't believe in/care about their relatiohship. I thought the famous "nobody puts Baby in a corner" sounded odd and made me cringe - apparently Patrick Swaze didn't like it at the time and only said it once.

Avatar has a clunky and boring plot.

All the Italian mafia films are rubbish and men who like them are usually boring.

Blade runner was awful. DP loved it.

Schindler's List is terrible. Boring. Doesn't let you engage with any of the characters.

It was critically acclaimed and won loads of Oscars at the time and when I tried to watch it back in the day, I turned off after about 40mins as it just wasn't developing any characters.
I've recently been to Krakow and been to the places, the museum, re-read the history so I thought I'd try watching it again as it is on iPlayer, but no. Same thing. Nothing to engage me. Once again I switched off after about 40mins or so.

I hated Pulp Fiction

All DC comics & Marvel films are soo rubbish. Watched Thor and Aquaman in cinema with DH (ex if I have to watch another one!) - the dialogues are only bearable if you atr under 5!

I agree. The book is excellent. And very moving.

Notting Hill is absolute crap. There’s no chemistry at all and Julia Roberts looks awkward. The only thing worth watching is all of the other excellent actors.

Agree. The book was better as it wasn't just about them - film made their 'romance' (affair) central. I didn't believe in their 'meaningful' relationship as there seemed next to no chemistry between them
