For me...
Pursuit of Happiness
Elephant Man

There's definitely more but I can't think and I've had 2 gins so I'll be better thinking tomorrow.
But I just saw a clip on LinkedIn from pursuit of happiness and it made me cry just from the clip!

Recently watched the swimmers on netflix. Cried alot. Also cheered, got angry, felt relieved and then cried more. It was one of those films with all the emotions

justcouldntthinkofausername · 21/12/2022 23:01

The bridges of madison country seems to be popular and I've not heard of it so think I'll have to watch that one!

The green mile
The boy in the striped pyjamas

Ahhhh just watched In the Mood for Love at the cinema this evening. The whole thing is so achingly melancholic and beautiful. The ending makes me cry. Watching it on the big screen had a totally different impact on me compared to when I’ve watched it on my phone.

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 22/12/2022 00:53

I watched The Father with Anthony Hopkins and really sobbed 😢 ‘I’m losing my leaves’

It really disturbed me for days. 😞

Giggorata · 22/12/2022 00:57

Jean de Florette for me. I own the DVD too, but I can never bring myself to watch it again.

Whatifthegrassisblue · 22/12/2022 01:01

Lion. I unfortunately watched it on a plane, I was a complete mess

Jackfrostnipping · 24/12/2022 23:24

@justcouldntthinkofausername I love Robin Williams. Awakenings was written by Oliver Sacks. Highly recommend his books. There's also a great film of his life with footage from his work.

Cooroo · 09/08/2022 18:08

Gallipoli. I went on crying in the pub after! Just devastated. I was early 20s and it was the first time I'd really thought about what a war was for real people.

I am with you all the way on this one.
