For me...
Pursuit of Happiness
Elephant Man

There's definitely more but I can't think and I've had 2 gins so I'll be better thinking tomorrow.
But I just saw a clip on LinkedIn from pursuit of happiness and it made me cry just from the clip!

Lion. I started crying soon after it started and didn;t stop until it finished. I literally had handfuls of drenched tissues in my lap. never cried that much at anything.

Manchester by the sea.

Oh that film! I don't remember if I cried or if I was just stunned by its sadness. so achingly sad and true and not-Hollywood in its exploration of what grief can really do to a person.

Evasmissingletter · 09/08/2022 18:52

Railway Children- “Daddy my daddy”. Always reminds me of my lovely dad who is no longer with us .

LubaLuca · 09/08/2022 18:53

Schindler's List is the only film that's made me cry actual tears. I think I'm a tough nut to crack.

missymarrk · 09/08/2022 18:53

There was this film out years and years ago - about a white horse called Tir na Nog. Sure it was called Into The West.

Balled at that all through my childhood. Don't think I could watch it now.

The saddest film I have ever seen in all my life is
A Monster Calls.
Cried and cried and cried.
And cried....

Saw it at the cinema. Huge mistake. Just rows of people crying! 'Story ends with a boy holding on tight to his mothe and doing so he can let her go'

Lion

Jo Jo Rabbit. From the Shoes onwards

Schindlers List

I was still crying after, all the way home - for the rest of the evening

None of us spoke a word

The crowd coming out of the cinema after watching Schindler's List was silent. It was eerie, we were obviously all so moved

Runaround50 · 14/08/2022 12:01

Schlindlers list
