Una Subbs. Aunt Sally.

Olive from on the buses, who is sometimes in East Enders. Still Olive.

Agree re Richard E Grant and Withnail

Alison Steadman. I still see her as Bev-er-ley from Abigail's party.

BikeRunSki - yes, he will be 'Coco the fucking Scab' in everything Sad

AlMinzerAndHisPyramidOfDogs · 07/08/2016 16:33

Paul Hogan = Crocodile Dundee
Christopher Lee = Dracula

DH reckons Sean Connery will always be Sean Connery.

Me, I always make a string effort to divorce the actor from the role. I came if age when Patrick Stewart was takimg on "don't call me Captain Picard" roles, and I respect that. I think a good actor (who's made his/her squillions and can afford to wait for a decent role) who has a good agent can go Beyond (and kinda owes it to his/her future career to do so).

Sorry, a bit esoterical. :">

String= strong. #badphone

Bumping this after watching something last night with Jack Davenport and I immediately said Oh it's Miles! He will always be Miles from This Life to me.

dollybird · 23/09/2016 21:53

Faith everyone from This Life will be whoever from This Life! I loved that programme Smile

FaithAscending · 23/09/2016 22:07

The stuff of my yoof :) Andrew Lincoln seems to have broken the mould though!

TheBestNamesAreTaken · 23/09/2016 22:26

Calista Flockheart was great in Brothers and Sisters - the odd neurotic moment but def discernible from Ally McBeal. The blonde girl who played her colleague (Jane something I think?) will always be the blonde girl from Ally McBeal though.

Marilyn from Home & Away (whose real name also escapes me)

Patricia Routledge will always be Hyacinth Bucket

Beebeeeight · 23/09/2016 22:27

Carrie fisher is Princess Leia even though she does great cameos in other films.

Corey Feldman is the mouth from the goonies.

Jennifer ehle is Lizzie Bennett.

Melissa George keeps getting Hollywood roles but I keep thinking where's Shane? (Angel)

Same with Isla fisher, she is always Shannon to me.

The boy from the sixth sense is the boy from the sixth sense.

notyounanbread · 24/09/2016 01:56

Kyle McLachlan is Dale Cooper.

freethebiscuit · 24/09/2016 20:42

Definitely Anthony Hopkins with Hannibal Lector- would be terrified to meet him in a lift!

AmberGreyson · 07/10/2016 13:33

Daniel Radcliffe - Harry Potter

margaritasbythesea · 08/10/2016 12:07

Joan Collins is Alexis Carrington. She doesn't even have time change her clothes.

CeciliaMiddleton · 10/10/2016 14:47

Renee Zellweger as Bridget Jones

Ian McKellen as Gandalf

Elijah Wood as Frodo

LeatherAndLace · 10/10/2016 14:50

Will Smith will always be a grumpy middle aged man.
