John Travolta
Bradley Walsh
Bonnie Langford

Now don't laugh! Sometimes you see someone from when you were much younger and then realise that they are REALLY bloody good actors. What would be your nominations?

Gosh yes Beauty Matthew Kelly in that thing where he played a paedophile serial killer, he was so chilling and sinister. Not what you would expect from the presenter of Stars in Their Eyes!! What's he doing these days I wonder? Not seen him on TV for years.

LisaMed · 10/06/2016 09:55

I love Will Smith. He does emotional pain so well. I love Hancock.

I hardly watch films these days, but when I watched Doom and saw the Rock on what I think was his first big outing I was surprised that actually there was something there and I thought he was let down by the direction.

I don't know if he's actually done something good, but I suspect he could do subtle.

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 10/06/2016 10:28

CoffeeAndOranges, I'm glad someone else saw him in that too! Most recently he's appeared in a couple of series of Benidorm, playing a dance instructor called Cyril Babcock, and he was brilliant in that too Smile

MaybeAFool · 11/06/2016 00:10

Matthew Kelly is doing a lot of theatre
Think he's still touring "Toast"

gingerboy1912 · 14/06/2016 10:29

Oh yes Mathew Kelly plays sinister and creepy very well.

Clawdy · 14/06/2016 10:40

Chris O'Dowd . That scene in The Boat That Rocked when he lip syncs to Stay With Me Baby after his new wife dumps him.

HuskyPup · 14/06/2016 17:05

Morgan Freeman
Tim Curry
Victor Garber

Janeymoo50 · 02/07/2016 19:37

The boy in The boy in striped pyjamas was amazing.

elphane · 02/07/2016 19:39

Jake Gyllenhaal.

I thought he was brilliant in Donnie Darko

neonrainbow · 02/07/2016 19:43

Jonah hill was a revelation in wolf of wall street. And sandra bullock in the blind side. Billy bob thornton in fargo although ive always like him he was simply outstanding. Hugh laurie in house... before that I'd only really seen him do comedy.

AllThePrettySeahorses · 02/07/2016 19:47

Keanu Reeves. Keeps me glued to the screen, no matter what film of his I'm watching. Does that count? Grin

neonrainbow · 02/07/2016 19:48

Cameron diaz in my sisters keeper was mesmerising. Jennifer lawrence is so amazing. What a career she has ahead of her. I loved her in american hustle, she stole the show.

mogloveseggs · 02/07/2016 19:55

Ray Winstone, Kathy Burke, & Mark Strong are always winners as far as I'm concerned.

GnomeDePlume · 02/07/2016 21:21

Ronnie Barker: he totally inhabited roles. He was Fletcher and Arkwright.

Sean Connery in The Offence - brutal and haunted

KittySnow86 · 03/07/2016 07:53

Dominic Monaghan and Leslie Mann. I know they've had solid careers but I think they've both had periods of being chronically overlooked for roles.

Bowaang · 03/07/2016 09:17

Agreeing with Jennifer Aniston. 'Cake' is one of her best IMHO. Made me cry anyway haha Grin

KenDoddsDadsDog · 04/07/2016 06:52

Definitely Kathy Burke , she was brilliant in Absolutely Fabulous
Maxine Peake , from dinner ladies to Myra Hindley

JohnJ80 · 21/07/2016 22:32

Channing Tatum, Zac Effron

alexandragimenez · 22/07/2016 14:26

I'd say The Rock, although I don't like to think of him as an actor Grin

JohnJ80 · 22/07/2016 19:29

The Rock's got charm. 'Welcome to the Jungle' is good fun. Shame he's done mainly woeful films since.

Openup41 · 11/10/2016 21:57

Colin Firth in the film with Nicole Kidman who has lost her memory. The first I have seen him as a "baddie". He was so good it was scary.
