Crap Films You Love Anyway

I'm sure this must have been done before but DS1 is being hard work and I fancied starting a lighthearted thread.

Inspired by the thread about films that make you ugly cry because someone mentioned A.I.

I know A.I. is generally recognised as being utterly crap but I love it. I cry and cry most of the way through but really do just love it!

So, what terrible films do you love? Or films not universally acknowledged as terrible but disapproved of on MN (for me that would be Love Actually)?

Loads Mamma Mia is crap but i love it Bride wars the princesss Diaries, Bicentennial man (i dispute thats a crap film though) 50 first dates ,meet the fockers, the jk rowling story is hilariously crap but i always watch it its an American tv movie so she is a single mom on welfare Grin

I also love end-of-the-world films; Independence Day, 2012, the day after tomorrow, etc. Grin

Three Men and a Baby

Three Men and a Little Lady.

All the shite films! And stuff where someone is wrongfully imprisoned and there are montage scenes of them in prison determinedly doing their pull ups and sit ups and genrally getting themselves in shape to exact revenge!

And ALL the action films like Die Hard, Lethal Weapon etc. No Steven Segal/Jean Claude Van Damme stuff though. I do have some standards.

Death Becomes Her - ridiculous film but I love it.

My Stepmothers an Alien - watched this loads as a kid, saw it again last year. Still enjoyed it but was a bit Shock when I realised what the "alien" in her handbag looked like.

Can't think of the name of it but it's a rom com ( which I normally hate as they are neither romantic or funny ) with Will Smith and Eva Mendes. Really predictable and cheesy but good Sunday afternoon telly.

I love the fast and furious movies. Every single one. You have to watch all of them in order to truly appreciate their genius. They transcend crapness and transform into art. I am actually ridiculously excited about the 8th one coming out next year. I shall be the 34 yr old, non-driving mum in a cinema full of adolescent boys Blush

I'm going to have to name change after this post aren't it...

jings I bloody love action movies and those prison ones. We watched this amazaing one dh got me for Christmas. It had jon Claude van damm in, wrongfully imprisoned of course, and his dead wife came back to give him hope in the form of a moth. It was flipping inspiring I tell you :o

I just found it jings, it is called 'In Hell'. It is hilarious.

I watched Spy last night MrsJay and thought it was rather well done for a comedy action spy film. I will watch anything with Jason Statham in though :o

Along came Polly. (Hank Azaria is amazingly buff and NAKED. What's not to like?)
Also just about anything with early-ish but not too early Vince Vaughan. Wedding Crashers, Dodgeball etc etc.
