Awesome!

I was not disappointed.

Now I won't post any spoilers, but I can't speak for anyone else on the thread, so proceed carefully. ...and there are a few plot points that probably won't stay secret for long, so get thee to a cinema!

Lots of old school star wars references and characters, lots of lovely new aliens to enjoy. Old cast great, new cast even better.

I was a little disappointed that of the hundreds of fans who turned out for the midnight showing, only a handful were women. Where were you all? The main character is a bad-ass lady, so there's no excuse that this is a boys film.

All in all, a few hours well spent. 10/10.
Before I say more, what did anyone else think?

Spoilerahead - why on earth would you do that? Am reporting your posts as it would only be fair to let people have a few days to watch it first.

I'm absolutely bloody shattered today but still bouncing off the walls at the prospect of going to see it again Grin

I must admit as a lifelong Darth Vader fangirl I'm more than a little taken with Kylo Ren......

Yeah I've just had a pm from spoilerahead but luckily I've got a massive cunt-dar so I've not opened it.
If I read it after I've watched it and you've not purposefully tried to ruin the film for me then I take back saying you're a cunt.
Otherwise you can get to fuck.

Saw it this afternoon. One of only 2 women in the cinema. Love, loved, loved it.

Back to as it should be and we can forget the awful prequels now.

Went and saw it with DH today and thought it was really good. Good mix of old and new and it felt like a 'proper' Star Wars film unlike the prequels. Loved BB8 he's even better than R2D2!

I want to see it again, as well. Loved it. Thought Daisy Ridley was excellent. Loved the ending, shed some tears, got a lump in my throat at the screen time between leia and Han (though what has Carrie Fisher done to her upper lip - it was immobile!), and thought the new droid was excellent. Can't believe all the old characters played their parts - though didn't spot the cameo of Warwick Davis (he isn't an Ewok but just didn't see him). So so so good. Can't believe we have to wait 18 months for the next one!

Hels20 I couldn't get past Carrie fishers non moving mouth as she talked! I would also like to know what was going on there.

I also thought that Harrison Ford ran and moved like an old, old, old man even though he is still gorgeous!
