to think The Lion King is the best Disney film ever made?

DD has suddenly got into this and its been years since I've seen it. Great characters, great music, beautiful animation and fantastic storyline (I know its based on Hamlet). There's lots of good Disney films but Lion King has everything - what Disney films are better than this?

And Nathan Lane as Timon is hilarious.

I love Beauty and the Beast myself, it's a beautiful film.

Lion King is pretty good though, I have seen the stage show and it's great.

I haven't seen the Lion King properly as DS got too upset watching it, but we have "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" on repeat in the car.

I do like Beauty and the Beast though. "Tale as old as tiiiime, song as old as rhyyyme."

Ooh dont get me wrong I love Aladdin and Beauty and the beast too . Although Aladdin always has a hint of sadness for me now after Robin Williams died.

Think I might have to take DD to the stage show, she'd love it.

No. I found it very boring. I also become intensely irritated when people quote or sing songs from it. I smile politely but inside I seethe.

I am obviously just not cut out for tragedy portrayed through the medium of lion....

Yanbu, it came out when i was 8, i remember seeing it in the cinema and thinking it was amaaaazing!!

Still love it now, though the little mermaid and aladdin are up there too!

Aladdin for me. Even though Disney changed the hell out of it, making Al an orphan and moving the story from China.

I love Aladdin and the luxurious Arabian theme despite the original Aladdin not actually being Arabian.

I loathe Lion King, mostly

but Circle of Life opening sequence makes water come out of my eyes

soon as my first kid has a baby I am going to hold it over my head in the hosp and sing it, for lolz

oh and Jungle Book is best imo

It's quite good but The Jungle Book is hands-down the best Disney.

In fact The Jungle Book is one of the best films out there, IMO.

Ha muddha my friends husband did that when their son was born :)

He put a video on fb of him holding up baby while doing the 'naaaaaarsavenyaaaaa' :)
He also made the dog lay down like the animal audience.... Immature yet amusing

Yanbu I love lion king adult dd is obsessed with it we saw the musical a few years ago and i sobbedit was really good.Toy story is a close second though
