Either sexist jokes are okay or they're not okay. If they are okay then feminists have brought a knife to a gun fight.

Jokes can have a racial element without being racist, just as jokes can have a sex element without being sexist.
It's probably not possible to explain what good natured, well-intentioned comedy is versus the ill-intentioned, bigoted stuff. You just know it when you see it. If somebody doesn't get it or doesn't understand the spirit in which it's done, there's not much you can do about it. Strict political correctness being applied to comedy is a laughter killer. I consider it virtue signalling, which is something I abhor.
That doesn't mean absolutely no holds barred. The kind of "comedy" that is based on causing the most offence and shock possible is bad comedy. So it's a balancing act.
