Since we've nearly tipped the last one over the 1000 posts mark, here's the new thread for cvq and for her friends to help this lovely lady to keep on getting better.

Let's hope that's what it was then - your nan coming to say goodbye and sorry, and to have a look at j and see what a gorgeous little boy he is.

Now sweetie, I am going to have to go to bed in a min as I have to be up early tomorrow to take my Dad to have his prostate prodded at the hospital. We're hoping it's nothing serious but he is nearly 75 - he has been told he has a 1 in 6 chance of it being cancer (or, as he prefers to think of it, a 5 in 6 chance of it being benign swelling [optimism rules!])

Hope you get some sleep tonight and remember to snuggle into your purple protective blanket. Say goodnight to your nan just in case she is still hanging around.

night night ((((((((((hugs))))))))))) for you and j
xx

Morning cvq - heres hoping for a good day for you

As I said last night, I am on the jeans hunt for DH this morning, so catch you later (well I had better go get showered and dressed first).

Might be an idea to ring your hv............

xxxx

CvQ · 17/09/2008 11:06

i have spoken to the manager and she was very apologetic but has said that sometimes it may be neccessary to switch staff around.i told her that although i understood that that it has knocked my confidence in leaving him and i was upset at what i saw.i think she understood but not sure she 'gets me'.hell i dont even 'get me'

bythepowerofgreyskull · 17/09/2008 11:46

Hi Hon,
I think it was the right thing to do to call and talk to the nursery today - you did really well - at least it is said now so that by the time you go next week you haven't got into a pickle about it.

Hope you have a good day - I have to go and make cakes for my cake decorating course tonght - we are making a spinning top novelty cake .. Hmm we will see how it turns out.

Will be in and out overthe afternoon so don't feel lonely if you fancy a chat..

bellavita · 17/09/2008 12:30

Well at least that's one thing less to worry about cvq........... you should feel proud of yourself that you rang and explained how you felt - even if you think the manager "got you".

Jeans bought for DH and I have thrown in a sweater and a pair of shoes as well!

CvQ · 17/09/2008 13:03

it took me a few attempts to do it but i got there in the end and yeah its a weight off my mind.am feeling a bit better today if not apprehensive about tomorrow.

bellavita · 17/09/2008 13:13

tis understandable that you are apprehensive about tomorrow - but another hurdle you will get over

just read my last post, should have said "did not get you"

CvQ · 17/09/2008 13:19

did you not buy yourself anything today

bellavita · 17/09/2008 13:25

tried on a jumper (had mohair in it) and only just trying it on I had a furball in the back of my throat and itchy eyes , but no I did not buy anything for me

.........oh I tell a lie I did..... a Marks and Spencer count on us triple chocolate sundae which I have just eaten with the smallest spoon I could find so it would last longer mmmmmmmmm.

I could buy for me all the time, I always see lots of nice things but restrained myself today.

I might go into York next week and have a look at the proper shops (I only went to Monks Cross today which has only really got a handful of shops M&S, River Island, Top Shop, Monsoon and a couple of others.

bellavita · 17/09/2008 13:28

or I may even go into Leeds next week, I love looking around the big Debenhams, Victoria Quarter, Harvey Nicks oh the list is endless

CvQ · 17/09/2008 13:30

ahh yes you need to go to proper shopsim rubbish at buying stuff for me.i hate trying things on and doing it with a pushchair in a pocky changing room is not easy.especially when he grabs the curtains

am very at your choc sundae though

HUFF!
we are going to the park with L soon.might have to get some choc en route now

bellavita · 17/09/2008 13:37

I made myself sound rather snobby then with "proper shops" I meant the likes of Zare and LK Bennett and Coast and Whistles - could go on forever, dreaming about spending money that I have not got ...........

Have been there though with buggies in changing rooms and grabbed curtains - takes a lot of effort just to try on one thing.

Park sounds good.

I am just emptying the cabinet in the dining room as someone from freecycle is coming for it at the weekend. Luckily the kind deliver driver from tescos (a while back now) forget some of his totes that he delivered the shopping in, so I put them away in the garage and now they have come in handy to store my china until new cabinet arrives
