I couldn’t see a recent one of these so thought I’d start one.

I just feel I need to do something positive so will hopefully share some more thoughts later that I hope will help - others as well as myself.

In the meantime, feel free to check in as, if nothing else, it helps to feel less alone.

@Jk24 Sertraline

Jk24 · 17/02/2024 14:48

@Tarsandcase read up on it. I know fluoxitine can cause insomnia maybe that does too! I take mine first thing x

Jk24 · 17/02/2024 14:46

@Tarsandcase which meds are you on?

@JamSandle I'm sorry you're still painfully waiting in limbo. Can you go out with friends tonight and keep yourself busy? If you're in Manchester I'd go for a drink with you 😅

No to napping not with a sen 3 year old I'm afraid. Feeling shit myself today. Saw a neighbour I've not seen in ages so told him about ddog just brought it all back.

@Takemeback2thestart @Kielyflower how are you both? X

I've been hanging out with my sibling but can't face anyone else in case I end up crying. I just miss my partner and want him back. Most of my friends are happily coupled or absolutely hate men and I can't face either at the moment.

What are your plans for today? I'm sorry you had some painful memories come up. How are you feeling now?

Jk24 · 17/02/2024 15:00

@JamSandle make some plans with sibling tonight then if you can? Or get a bottle of wine and some snacks and watch a nice film? Just something for yourself.

I've been out with dh and ds today soft play then dinner. Dh is on nights tonight so just me and ds later so I'll be having a bubble bath and glass of wine when he's in bed. I'm OK, losing ddog was the tip of the iceberg for me. I've been suffering for a while before but it came to a head when I lost him and I spiralled. I was a disaster waiting to happen. I'm sad and I'm always anxious but I'm used to it and try and put a face on for the family x

im 24 weeks pregnant and just started taking sertraline, I’m on my second week but my baby has started moving so much more than she rests she’s constantly kicking and I’m wondering if this is normal or anything to do with the anti depressants?

Jk24 · 17/02/2024 21:30

@Xasdffh is this your first pregnancy? I started to feel movement around 21 weeks and ever week it got more and more. If you're concerned though please speak to your midwife. Congrats on the pregnancy!

Is anyone about tonight? X

Hi @Jk24 I'm about tonight. Just come back from a very long walk to burn off some of my energy. The weight is dropping off me these past few days.

How are you tonight?

Jk24 · 17/02/2024 21:40

@JamSandle well done you on getting out for some air! Makes you feel good doesn't it. Make sure you're eating!

I feel shit tonight tbh. Just been having a little cry x

Oh im so sorry @Jk24 do you want to talk more about what you're feeling? Its raining here so even the sky is having a good cry.

I had a big cry earlier. I feel terrible for damaging what has been my healthiest relationship. Im just sitting hoping everything can work out. It's been a real wake up call. I'm just hoping it's not too little too late.

Jk24 · 17/02/2024 21:45

@JamSandle I did pm you the other day, not sure if you saw it? Are you north? I had a memory come up on my phone of ddog 5 years ago and it got to me a bit. Amongst other things just feeling deflated x

Oh I didnt see it! I am on my phone and not sure how to find messages on here. I'm down South. I take it you are up North? I'm sorry about your darling dog. I bet you gave them the absolute best life.

Jk24 · 17/02/2024 21:52

Yes I'm in Manchester. Thanks love. I tried... Still terrorise myself for things I didn't do for him though. I've tried to attach a pic but never done it before to show you where pms are....how are you tonight? X

I will see if I can find it later. Thank you for messaging me x

I am sure you did all you could and more. Sometimes we don't see how much we give. What did ddog die of if you feel able to say and want to talk about it?

I'm very sad. As I say, I feel I've let my demons potentially destroy my healthiest relationship. It's incredibly painful. I veer between deep sadness and deep shame. I just want to hold my partner close and tell him I love him and things will be okay. So scared I've lost him for good.

Jk24 · 17/02/2024 22:00

Ddog lost an eye 2 years ago yo glaucoma. We tried to save it but the pressure was too much and he was in pain. Just before Xmas his other went the same. So we had to make the most heartbreaking decision ever. Have a 7 stone dog with no eyes.... or put him out of his pain and misery. He wasn't even 7!!! Wasn't so young for his bread though.

Do you want to share any back story? Don't worry if not. Just might help to get another perspective. Either way and you said it yourself....everyone makes mistakes! We can't be 100 percent all the time x

Not sure how much detail I feel like giving on a forum. But basically I had developed a crush and didn't tell my partner about he. It was nothing and nothing even happened but now he no longer trusts me. I wasn't forthcoming about it.

JamSandle · 17/02/2024 22:44

Im so sorry for your doggy. It sounds like you did the kindness thing. Neither choice is an easy one.

Jk24 · 17/02/2024 22:47

@JamSandle thank you. I hope we did.

How did he find out about the crush in the end? If it was just a crush why does it matter? I always say to dh 'oh the plumber was good looking' etc he just laughs x

Because I didnt admit to it. Just wish I had now.

Jk24 · 17/02/2024 23:16

Surely everyone's had a little crush they've just not mentioned it because it wasn't important... I don't think you've done wrong. Had you have acted on it then yes. Give yourself a break hun

Takemeback2thestart · 18/02/2024 00:08

@Jk24 hi I’m still here, thanks for asking after me. I’ve just not been able to manage much this last week or so, almost like I’m here but not here iyswim, just going through the motions and doing the bare essentials. I am really struggling to sleep at night which is not helping at all.
Hope you, and everyone else on here have a had a good day.

Jk24 · 18/02/2024 00:38

@Takemeback2thestart please can you tell me what iyswim is short for? Sorry.

I can't sleep either. Sorry you're still feeling shit. I'm right that you went on meds aren't I? If so have they not kicked in yet? X

Takemeback2thestart · 18/02/2024 14:45

Sorry, yeah it stands for if you see what I mean.
yes started back on sertraline. Can’t say I’ve noticed any change yet, but it’s just been 3 weeks so it’s probably a bit early , it’s quite a low dose too.
I just feel overwhelmed by everything on a daily basis and feel constantly exhausted. I did manage a long walk the other day and felt better for that x

Jk24 · 18/02/2024 17:20

@Takemeback2thestart bit by bit. Your posts are sounding a lot more enthusiastic so you definitely sound better than you were x

@JamSandle how are you today x

JamSandle · 18/02/2024 18:25

@Jk24 it's over. I'm not really sure how to move forward. I'm devastated.
