The crisis team have just left, after 'encouraging' me to take my antipsychotics...why has it come to this?

I'm still really struggling...

You have to take the meds, have you? They will help you make your voice stronger.

Wolfiefan · 03/02/2022 16:17

You will struggle until you’re regularly taking the meds.

SnowyMouse · 04/02/2022 17:09

They took some of my things from my flat today. I'm feeling really low.

Did they take things they felt might increase your risk to yourself? Is there anything at all that’s helped in the last few days (with how you are feeling?)

SnowyMouse · 04/02/2022 18:20

Yes, they were worried what I might do with them. Nothing seems to be helping.

OP posts:
Possessionangst · 04/02/2022 19:34

That sounds really tough. I’m wondering what advice you would give me if we had swapped places (and I was you)?

SnowyMouse · 05/02/2022 13:33

I don't know, I'm trying to engage when I can.

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 05/02/2022 13:57

You really do need to engage with them. And take the meds.

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2022 16:55

I saw the crisis worker today, and she rang her colleagues to come and see me. 2 RMNs came and said they need to discuss with the team, and they may consider a MHAA. I'm feeling really agitated. They'll get back to me later.

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 06/02/2022 17:21

Have you managed to take the meds yet?

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2022 17:22

I've taken some of them.

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 06/02/2022 17:27

That’s really good Snowy. If you can show you’re taking meds and working with the MH specialists they won’t need to escalate things. They just want you well.

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2022 18:06

I'm hoping they don't go down the mhaa route, there are no local beds available.

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 06/02/2022 18:17

They shouldn’t need to if you’re working with them and taking meds. Good luck OP.

SnowyMouse · 06/02/2022 18:24

Thanks, I'll update once I know more.

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 06/02/2022 19:16

Well I'm ok for tonight, they are ringing me later and then visiting tomorrow morning, possibly with a dr (or not). They'd prefer me to go to the local wards because they know me, so it's managing risk while waiting for a bed to appear. They said they could step up their involvement to 3 visits a day if needed.

OP posts:
Possessionangst · 07/02/2022 00:04

Would you be up for going to hospital informally if they could get a local bed?

SnowyMouse · 07/02/2022 10:03

I don't know, I hate hospital

OP posts:
Theunamedcat · 07/02/2022 10:07

@SnowyMouse

I don't know, I hate hospital
Me too honestly but if it's the best place for you right now then you have to go unfortunately try and think of the positives? You don't need to cook or clean while your in there? Free heating? I don't know

I hope you start turning a corner soon

Nsky · 07/02/2022 10:07

You need to do what is best, you know that, keep the voices away, be strong

SnowyMouse · 07/02/2022 16:06

Thanks @Theunamedcat, I'm waiting to see what the plan is.

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 07/02/2022 16:17

Hoping the plan is a good one OP.

SnowyMouse · 07/02/2022 16:25

Thanks @Nsky
