If money is tight could you move in with your mum for a while until you get on your feet?

joanneg · 25/09/2004 00:13

Hi tammybear, don't think we've chatted before. Sorry to see you're feeling low. BTW how old is your dd?

tammybear · 25/09/2004 00:17

joanneg · 25/09/2004 00:18

can you sort something out so that you can take that bank job? I think working might help you feel better long term and less lonely.

Avalon · 25/09/2004 00:18

Beansmum - you mean you don't touch type?

tammybear · 25/09/2004 00:19

i wudnt trust working for them after what happened. spent 3 months hanging on for it, and then they go and change it have been applying for other jobs though, and have had a couple of interviews so fingers crossed

I would suspect the pills Tammy - see how you're feeling in half an hour. Would phone the doc tomorrow either way - or even tonight if you're really bad. Or your mum.
Could she come and stay with you for a few nights now and again or could you and dd share a room at your mum's even just for the odd night?

beansmum · 25/09/2004 00:20

could someone maybe look after dd once a week so you can have a night to do stuff with friends or just have time to yourself.

Avalon · 25/09/2004 00:20

21 months - that's a hard work age from what I remember. Do you manage to get any time to yourself during the day or does your mum have her sometimes?

joanneg · 25/09/2004 00:20

good - I think that it will really help. i think that it is so hard and lonely at home with a baby all day and night - and if you are on your own no wonder you are struggling.

tammybear · 25/09/2004 00:21

i stayed at my mums last night. she kicked my sis out to stay at her boyfriends lol. but i was just so uncomfortable. it was my choice to come back tonight as i just wanted my own bed

OP posts:
beansmum · 25/09/2004 00:21

In that case write the snotiest letter possible - if you're SURE you don't want to work for them. Stinking rats. (That should make you feel better).
Best of luck with the job hunting! A job's probably just what you need. What about getting down to the local gym too - most of them run a creche at specific times.

joanneg · 25/09/2004 00:23

night night beansmum (ps you are not slow at typing!)

Avalon · 25/09/2004 00:23

beansmum only joking. (I hope you knew that)

so things are looking up - with college and your mum helping out? It sounds like things will get better. Debt is an awful burden - once you see the debt counsellor you will feel better

tammybear · 25/09/2004 00:24
